The point spread for Saturday’s 3rd round battle between the Virginia Commonwealth Rams and Indiana Hoosiers opened up at -5.5 in favor of the Hoosiers at Bovada on Friday morning and the total was set at 138.5. As of Friday night the line has been bet up to -6 and the total is up to 139. So far, 51% of the betting public is on VCU and 54% are on the under. Here are the latest trends for this game:

Rams are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.

Rams are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 NCAA Tournament games.

Hoosiers are 8-0 ATS in their last 8 non-conference games.

Hoosiers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.

Under is 4-1 in Rams last 5 games following a ATS win. Under is 5-1 in Hoosiers last 6 neutral site games.

Under is 6-2 in Hoosiers last 8 overall.

My Prediction: The Indiana Hoosiers despite being short-handed and very young, impressed everyone the other night with an easy win over New Mexico State. I know a lot of people were thinking the Aggies could give the Hoosiers a fight, but it didn’t happen. Meanwhile, the Virginia Commonwealth Rams just continue to win tournament games. The are now 10-1 ATS in their last 11 March Madness games. It’s impossible to go against this team. There’s no reason they can’t win this game, so taking the 6 points is a gift.
