The point spread for Friday’s Second Round NCAA Tournament game between the Virginia Commonwealth Rams and Georgetown Hoyas opened up at -5 on Wednesday morning in favor of Georgetown at Bovada and the total was set at 134.

The spread has moved up a half a point to 5.5 as has the total to 133.5 as of Thursday night. So far, 56% of the betting public is on the Rams. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.

Rams are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games.

Rams are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Big East.

Hoyas are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite.

Hoyas are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a double-digit loss at home.

Under is 7-2 in Rams last 9 games as an underdog.

Under is 6-2 in Rams last 8 overall.

Under is 4-1 in Hoyas last 5 overall.

Over is 4-1 in Hoyas last 5 neutral site games as a favorite.

My Prediction: Virginia Commonwealth looked really good in the 2nd half the other night in beating USC 59-46. They held the Trojans to 1-9 from three-point land and outrebounded them 35-29.

VCU only shot 33.9% for the game, but I expect that to improve tonight. Georgetown is coming in losing 5 of 6 and failed to cover the spread in all 6. Staring guard Chris Wright has been out for Georgetown during this losing stretch but expects to play in this one. Georgetown will have 8 days off since their last game while VCU comes in with some momentum. I like the Rams to pull the upset so take the points for sure.

VCU +5.5
