The point spread for Friday’s Sweet 16 contest between the VCU Rams and Florida State Seminoles opened up at -3.5 on Sunday evening in favor of the 10th seeded Seminoles at Bovada and the total was set at 133. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.

My Prediction: It’s hard to believe that we have a 10 versus 11 in the Sweet 16, but that’s just the way this year’s tournament is going. VCU won 3 games in 5 days last week to get here and they won each game rather convincingly. The last was an 18-point win against Purdue. They have a nice balance of offense and defense. They will have their hands full with a very physical Florida State team that completely shut down Notre Dame’s offense. VCU is not afraid of anyone right now and if George Mason, also out of the CAA, made it to the Final Four a few years back, why can’t VCU? This will be close throughout, but I think VCU pulls away late and advances. Take the points.
