The Kansas City Chiefs will try and remain the last undefeated team in the league when they host the team that gave them their last loss – the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon. Kansas City actually lost twice to Pittsburgh last season – an 18-16 home loss in the playoffs, and a 43-14 thumping in the regular season. The Chiefs held the Steelers to six field goals in the playoff loss, but K.C. gained only 227 total yards of offense. The offense has been far more effective through five games in 2017, ranking second in the NFL (414.2) and leading the league in scoring (32.8). The Steelers have lost two of three, including an ugly 30-9 setback against Jacksonville last week in which Ben Roethlisberger threw five interceptions. Big Ben has thrown 13 touchdown passes and three interceptions in six regular-season meetings with the Chiefs.

LIVE IN-GAME BETTING

Pittsburgh’s potent offense has struggled this season despite having one of the best RB/WR-combos in the league in Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown, who has recorded three 100-yard performances already this season. Brown will likely be matched-up against Chiefs’ cornerback Marcus Peters, who is one of the league’s best at his position. The Steelers could use a little more balance on defense, as they rank No. 1 against the pass (139.6), but 28th against the run (136.6). It won’t get any easier against rising rookie star Kareem Hunt of Kansas City.

Hunt leads the league in rushing (609 yards) and scrimmage yards (775) and has scored six touchdowns, while receiver Tyreek Hill is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. Hunt joined Adrian Peterson as the only rookies in NFL history with at least 100 scrimmages yards in each of his team’s first five games. Smith is one of three quarterbacks in NFL history with at least 11 touchdown passes and no interceptions through the first five games of the season. The Chiefs defense has let up a lot of yards (27th), but have limited the damage by creating seven turnovers through five games.

SUNDAY’S NFL PREDICTIONS

The Chiefs may be undefeated, but they’ve been flirting with perfection including the crazy Monday night game two weeks ago. The Steelers have too good of a team to lose 30-9 to Jacksonville and not come back strong the next week. Look for the Steelers to once again beat Kansas City, so taking the points is a lock.
