Seahawks vs Eagles Preview & Free Pick – December 7th, 2014 ]]> include($base_url . “/includes/header.htm”); ?>

Both Seattle (8-4) and Philadelphia (9-3) come into this matchup with 10 days rest after both teams won by 2TD+ blowouts on Thanksgiving day. This is a key matchup as both teams are looking to finish the season strong and win their respective divisions as they did last year. The Eagles have fared well with Mark Sanchez at the helm, winners of 2 of their last 3 games and have the NFL’s 5th ranked offense. Seattle, on the other hand is also coming into their own (beat division foes AZ and SF back to back last 2wks) as they have finally gotten healthy on the defensive side of the ball ranking #1 in the NFL.
Seattle is facing, not only a sandwich game but a double sandwich game, as they just played and beat AZ and SF, but somehow also play them both again the next two weeks. Seattle also, for some reason I still don’t understand, ends up playing 5 division games in their last 6 final games. With all that being said, I have to lean towards the team with the NFLs #1 Defense vs Mark Sanchez. I would be shocked if Sanchez was successful at all vs Seattle’s #1 D. You have to remember with Sanchez’s success, it also came versus teams that ranked a combined 24th in defense.
