The New England Patriots will look to keep pace with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC when they take on the Oakland Raiders from Mexico City on Sunday afternoon. Oakland is just trying to get back into the playoff race as they enter the week one-game behind Buffalo for the final AFC slot. The Raiders are coming off a bye and will be play their third-straight against an AFC East opponent after getting crushed in Buffalo 34-14, then squeaking by Miami 27-24 prior to the bye. New England came off their bye last week and crushed the Denver Broncos in Mile High and decided to stay there all week in order to adapt to the altitude in Mexico City. The teams have met only four times in the past 12 years, with the Patriots winning each including 16-9 in 2014.

LIVE IN-GAME BETTING

Tom Brady continues to defy ago, throwing for 19 touchdowns to only two interceptions this season after a 266-yard, three-score performance against Denver that earned him his second AFC Offensive Player of the Week award in 2017. Tight end Rob Gronkowski has five touchdown catches and at least one reception of 22 yards in seven straight games while Brandin Cooks has 26 catches during the five-game winning streak. New England has rotated a number of running backs and ranks near the middle of the pack in rushing offense, but Dion Lewis appears to have taken the lead role with double-digit carries in each of the past four games and has scored twice in that span. The defense, which still ranks dead-last in the league in yards allowed (408.3), has improved dramatically, not allowing more than 17 points in the past five games.

The Raiders offense failed to score more than 17 points during a four-game losing streak after a 2-0 start, but quarterback David Carr has led them back with 1,030 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions over the last three games – two wins. Marshawn Lynch, whose last game against New England ended with a rush to the 1-yard line in Super Bowl XLIX before the clinching interception while with Seattle, returned from a one-game suspension to rush for 57 yards and two TDs in a 27-24 win at Miami. Amari Cooper has also broken out of a slump and has been targeted 38 times over the last three games, resulting in 20 receptions for 314 yards and is clearly Carr’s favorite weapon. The Raiders need to put more pressure on the quarterback as they are tied for last in sacks (13) and have yet to record an interception. Reigning Defensive Player of the Year Khalil Mack has recorded just a half a sack over the last five games.

WEEK 11 STAFF SELECTIONS

If you can’t get pressure on Brady, you’re dead. This one has blowout written all over it. The Patriots are clicking now on both offense and defense, while the Raiders are struggling even against bad teams. I don’t see how Oakland keeps up with New England in this one.
