New England Patriots (7-3) at New Orleans Saints (10-0)
Recent Meetings In what is probably the most anticipated Monday Night Football game in years, the New England Patriots will travel to New Orleans and try to hand the Saints their first loss of the season. Tom Brady and Drew Brees are both having fantastic seasons. Both have a QB rating over 100 and are trying to lead their teams to the Super Bowl. We all know about how these offenses can score at will, so let’s take a look at the defensive side of the ball. We’ll give the offensive edge to the Saints. Points Allowed: Pats 2nd in NFL, Saints 15th As you can see the Patriots have the edge on defense. The only thing that hurts New England is that only 4 teams in the NFL have fewer sacks than they do. If they can’t get some pressure on Brees, it’s over. I’m not worried about Brady dealing with the loud Superdome crowd, but I do give the edge to the Saints overall, because their passing attack is almost unstoppable at home. I believe the Saints will come out strong and take a 2 or 3 touchdown lead, then let the Patriots back in it only to hold them off at the end.
