Before both the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins head into their bye week, they will face off under the lights with the winner tying the Jets for 1st place in the competitive AFC East. Pats QB Tom Brady is once again on of the top quarterbacks in the league. He’s currently 2nd behind Peyton Manning with a 109.1 QB rating. He has led the Patriots to a league best average 30 points per game. Of course, when you play Buffalo and Cincinnati at home, you would expect those type of numbers. When they faced a tough defense on the road, the Jets held them to 14 points. The Dolphins defense is good, but not as good as the Jets. The Miami offense is finding a hard time so far this year. Running backs Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams have not really got going yet. QB Chad Henne only has 1 touchdown pass in 3 games. The Dolphins defense is the reason they sit at 2-1 right now.

Normally I would take the home team in this one, but I really like Tom Brady under the national spotlight against a young QB in Henne. The road team is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings and in an interesting trend, the Pats are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 Week 4 games, while the Dolphins are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Week 4 games. Go with the public here. Take the Pats.

Pick: New England +1
