The point spread for Friday’s MAC Championship game between the Northern Illinois Huskies and Ohio Bobcats opened up at -3 on Sunday afternoon in favor of the Huskies BetOnline Sportsbook. As of Monday night, the line has been bet up to 4. The total opened up at 66 and immediately went up to 68.5. Right now, 65% of the betting public is on Northern Illinois, but it’s early in the week still. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.

Bobcats are 6-2 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

Bobcats are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog.

Huskies are 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.

Huskies are 11-5-1 ATS in their last 17 conference games.

Under is 4-1 in Bobcats last 5 neutral site games.

Over is 8-2 in Bobcats last 10 vs. a team with a winning record.

Over is 4-1 in Huskies last 5 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game.

Under is 19-7-1 in Huskies last 27 games after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game.

My Prediction: This will be the first meeting between these two MAC schools in 2 years as Northern Illinois takes on Ohio for the MAC Championship game. Both teams can put up some points and with this game being played indoors on turf, the total of 68.5 might be low. Ohio does have the advantage on defense. They allow 10 less points a game than the Huskies. It’s going to come down to who wants it more. The Bobcats play well when they are the underdogs. They have covered 10 of their last 11 as dogs. I’ll take the Bobcats to make enough stops on defense to win this game or at least cover a close one.

Ohio +4
