NFL Odds: Comeback Player of the Year [2017]

We roll on with the latest edition of our NFL Future betting with the Comeback Player of the Year odds for 2017. The award goes to the “player who has shown perseverance in overcoming adversity, in the form of not being in the NFL the previous year, a severe injury, or simply poor performance.” I don’t find it shocking at all the top player on this list is Houston’s J.J. Watt at odds of +450. The future Hall-of-Famer played only three games last season before suffering a herniated disc. If he plays a full season, it will be hard for him to lose this award. Derek Carr is next on the list at +550 and why he’s even on this list at all surprises me. He had a monster season last year and only missed one regular season game. I don’t see how he can have a ‘comeback’ year after playing 15 terrific games. Tied for third on the list is the always entertaining Marshawn Lynch (+800), who will be playing with Carr in Oakland. Lynch has been spotted all over the globe the last few years destroying someone’s cell phone at an airport and even riding camels in Egypt.
