Recent Meetings This year’s New Orleans Bowl pits two very equal teams in the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders and Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles. Too bad Brett Favre won’t be able to watch this game live and his Vikings will be playing opposite this game in Carolina. The Golden Eagles are here mainly because of their stellar quarterback play. Austin Davis threw 10 TD’s to only 2 interceptions before he got hurt early in the season. Martevious Davis has picked up the slack by throwing 13 touchdowns to only 1 pick. Blue Raiders quarterback Dwight Dasher has thrown 21 touchdowns this year and has also ran for 11 more along with his 953 yards rushing. If you look at the 2nd half of the season, the Blue Raiders have been clicking on all cylinders. They’ve won by double-digits in 5 of their last 6 games.
