The Cleveland Indians and Houston Astros conclude their entertaining four-game series this weekend on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball as Carlos Carrasco opposes Wade Miley from Minute Maid Park. The Indians extended their overall winning streak to three by taking the opener Thursday 2-1 in a pitching duel between Trevor Bauer and Gerrit Cole, but Houston got into the win column on Saturday with a 4-3 victory in 10 innings. Carlos Correa extended his hitting streak to nine games with a two-run homer on Saturday and Tony Kemp provided the game-winning, walk-off blast in the 10th as the Astros climbed to within a half-game of first place Seattle in the AL West. Correa is 11-for-39 with four homers and eight RBIs during his hitting streak and Kemp was in a 1-for-16 slump before his pinch-hit blast. The Indians have won seven of their last 11 overall despite Saturday’s loss and will conclude their six-game road trip with two in Miami beginning Tuesday. Shortstop Francisco Lindor delivered a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning to give him six RBIs in seven games since coming off the disabled list. Cleveland’s Carlos Santana, who got off to a sizzling start this season, is just 1-for-23 in his last six games to drop his averaged to .302.

Pitchers: Indians – Carlos Carrasco (2-2, 6.00 ERA) | Astros – Wade Miley (1-2, 3.58)

Carrasco was cruising in his last start in Miami on Tuesday, suffered a bruised left leg that limited him to four innings. He is expected be ready for Sunday without missing a turn and has not allowed a run in 11 innings since getting rocked in Kansas City on April 12th for six runs in just two-thirds of an inning. Carrasco, who struck out 33 batters in 21 innings this season, owns a 3.45 ERA in eight all-time appearances (seven starts) versus Houston.

Miley looks to even his record at 2-2 after a loss and no-decision in his last two outings despite a quality start in both. Miley has not allowed more than three runs in any game this season but has not been overwhelming with just 18 strikeouts in 27.2 innings. He is 1-3 in six career starts against the Indians and Carlos Santana (6-for-11), Carlos Gonzalez (9-for-23, homer) and Lindor (5-for-10) have been trouble for Miley.

Houston is looking to split the four-game series this weekend with Cleveland.

Look for Houston to carry the momentum of yesterday’s walk-off win into this Sunday night contest against a pitcher who has struggled against them in the past. Carrasco has allowed 19 earned runs in the last 30 innings versus Houston covering five starts. Miley hasn’t been spectacular this season, but neither has this Indians offense.
