The point spread for Saturday’s Final Four Semifinal game between the Connecticut Huskies and Kentucky Wildcats opened up at -2 in favor of Kentucky at SportsInteraction.com and the total was set at 141. Since then, the spread has inched up to 2.5 and the total has gone down to 140. So far, 54% of the betting public is on UCONN as of Friday night. Here are some trends for tonight’s game:

Wildcats are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a S.U. win.

Wildcats are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.

Huskies are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 non-conference games.

Huskies are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games overall.

Under is 3-0-1 in Wildcats last 4 NCAA Tournament games.

Under is 5-1-1 in Wildcats last 7 games as a favorite.

Under is 4-1 in Huskies last 5 vs. Southeastern.

Under is 4-1 in Huskies last 5 neutral site games.

My Prediction: This is a rematch of this past season’s Maui Invitational Championship in which the Huskies dominated Kentucky 84-67. Kemba Walker was outstanding that game scoring 29 points on 10-17 shooting. UCONN shot an amazing 57% and held the Wildcats to 36%. Overall Kentucky has better offensive and defensive statistics for the season. UCONN has really been on a roll since the beginning of the Big East Tournament and they really know how to win big games like this. Experience rules in this one.
