It’s first place against second place for the Horizon League’s conference tournament title when the Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers take on the Butler Bulldogs in Beertown Tuesday night.
UW-Milwaukee won the Horizon League’s regular-season crown with a conference record of 12-4. Butler finished second at 11-5.
The Bulldogs are 10-3 their last 13 games. Those three losses have come by two, three and four points. Butler beat UW-Green Bay 73-51 Saturday to get to this conference tournament title game.
The Panthers have won four of their last six games. UW-M beat Loyola-Illinois 80-66 Saturday to get here.
Butler is 15-13 against the spread this season, a solid 5-1 ats as an underdog, 7-5 ats in road games and 7-9 ats vs. Horizon League opponents.
UW-Milwaukee is 11-11 against the spread this season; 9-10 ats as favorites, 7-8 ats in the Horizon League, and 5-6 ats at U.S. Cellular Arena, the site of tonight’s game (the Horizon League regular-season champ hosts the conference tournament).
