Under is 8-3-1 in Mariners last 12 after allowing 2 runs or less in their previous game.

Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Seattle.

Yankees are 6-2 in the last 8 meetings.

My Prediction: The M’s return home after a successful 5-1 road trip while the Yankees start a 9 game West Coast road trip. Seattle is now within a game of .500 and only a game and a half out of first in the A.L. West. The Yankees are tied with Boston for first in the A.L. East. Highly touted prospect Michaeal Pineda has been spectacular this year for the Mariners including at home where he’s posted a 1.65 ERA and has only walked 4 in 27 innings. A.J. Burnett is 0-2 with a 5.00 ERA on the road. The Mariners tagged Burnett for 6 runs and 12 hits in his only start last year against Seattle. Advantage goes to Pineda here as the Yankees will be seeing the 6’7″ right-hander. Seattle is on a roll and they always get their biggest crowds for the Yankees. Mariners win Game 1 of this 3-game series.

Mariners -115
