Probable Pitchers
White Sox: Phillip Humber (3-3, 3.10 ERA, 0.94 WHIP)
Blue Jays: Brandon Morrow (2-2, 5.06 ERA, 1.44 WHIP)

The opening line for tonight’s White Sox vs Blue Jays game opened up at -130 (-1.5 +156) in favor of Morrow and the Blue Jays at Bdg Sportsbook and the total was set at 8 u07. Here are some trends for tonight’s game:

White Sox are 4-1 in their last 5 games vs. a right-handed starter.

White Sox are 4-1 in their last 5 vs. a team with a losing record.

White Sox are 5-2 in their last 7 games vs. a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30.

Blue Jays are 7-3 in their last 10 games vs. a right-handed starter.

Blue Jays are 7-1 in Morrows last 8 starts after allowing 5 runs or more in their previous game.

Blue Jays are 5-1 in Morrows last 6 starts during game 1 of a series.

Over is 5-2 in White Sox last 7 overall.

Under is 10-4 in White Sox last 14 vs. American League East.

Under is 4-0 in Humbers last 4 road starts.

Over is 5-1 in Blue Jays last 6 games following a loss.

Over is 4-1 in Blue Jays last 5 overall.

Over is 4-1 in Blue Jays last 5 when their opponent allows 2 runs or less in their previous game.

White Sox are 7-21 in the last 28 meetings.

White Sox are 3-14 in the last 17 meetings in Toronto.

My Prediction: Phillip Humber has been a nice bright spot in the White Sox rotation this year. He has a nice 3.10 ERA and his WHIP is under 1.00. Brandon Morrow has been a big disappointment for the Jays. He’s still striking out over a batter an inning, but his ERA is over 5.00 and his home ERA is a disastrous 7.36. Morrow got lit up by the Sox last year at home to the tune of 7 runs in only 4 innings. That was one of the few wins Chicago has got in Toronto over the last couple of years. They are 3-14 in their last 17 in Toronto. The Jays are 13-4 in Game 1 of a series including 9-2 when coming off a loss. I think Morrow throws his best game of the year tonight and the Jays win.

Blue Jays -133
