The Panthers outlasted West Virginia 57-53 in Pittsburgh earlierthis month, their fourth win in the last six games in the seriesbetween the two teams. Pitt held the Mountaineers to a 34-percentshooting performance from the field (6-27 from 3-point land) andoutrebounded WV 36-24. But the Panthers hit just 14 of 22 free-throwattempts and could only garner a push against the four-point spread.
When it comes to the battle on the boards tonight, there's notmuch doubt as to who will win. Pitt outrebounds its opponentsby almost eight a game this season, while the Mountaineers arebeing outboarded by almost 10 per game.
WV averages 10 made three-pointers per game, most of those bycenter Kevin Pittsnogle (19 points per game) and forward MikeGansey (17.7 ppg).
