NFL WEEK 7 PREDICTIONS

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (-3.5) over San DiegoChargers
The (3-2) Philadelphia Eagles host the (3-3) San Diego Chargersthis Sunday in what should be a good game as both teams are prettysolid on both sides of the ball. The Eagles have had a long weekto rest as they are coming off of their bye week which was preceededby their worst loss of the season getting mauled by the Cowboys33-10. San Diego , on the other hand, gave the Oakland Raidersa pretty good beating themselves last week winning on the roadby the score of 27-14. If you couldn’t tell by now, I am a situationalhandicapper who loves bounce back spots and this game has theEagles written all over it. Always remember, a team is never asBAD or as GOOD as they looked in the previous week . Furthermore, bounce back situations, particularly when they pertain to a teamthat the previous week LOST BIG facing a team that WON BIG givesbettors solid line value which is the name of the game when itcomes to handicapping.

In my opinion, the Chargers are an overratedunit who rely heavily on all purpose, All Pro RB LaDainian Tomlinson.Tomlinson is not only the top rusher in the NFL but he also hasthe ability to receive , block, as well as throw Touchdowns! IfI am not mistaken, Tomlinson has the highest passer rating inthe NFL this season converting 2 passses for 2 touchdowns, onelast week against Oakland and one against the Giants back in week3.
The key to stopping San Diego is to shut downL. Tomlinson who thus far this year can’t seem to be stopped. The Eagles will key on LT all day long and force SD QB Drew Breesinto forcing several key passes into interceptions. If Brees isforced into throwing more passes than hes comfortable with, itwill be a long day for the Bolts. San Diego does possess a soliddefense, however, but Eagles QB Donovan McNabb will come out STRONGafter the embarrassing Dallas loss and involve his teammates suchas WR Terrell Owens and RB Brian Westbrook into spreading theball around the field.
I do see this being a close contest but lay thewood with the Eagles at home. The Eagles are in a very tight NFCEAST Division , a 3 way tie with the Skins and Giants all 3-2behind the first place 4-2 Cowboys. They cannot afford to losethis game at home this week!
