The Golden State Warriors can break a franchise record on Saturday night with their 15th consecutive road victory when they visit the Houston Rockets. Golden State and Houston are the top two teams in the Western Conference and played each other just a few weeks ago with the Warriors pulling out a 10-point road win to keep their impressive streak going. Golden State is wrapping up a five game road trip on Saturday and have already knocked off four strong Eastern Conference teams to begin it – Milwaukee, Toronto, Cleveland and Chicago. The Warriors are coming off a 119-112 win over the Bulls on Wednesday despite being without Draymond Green (shoulder) and Andre Iguodala (calf) and losing Jordan Bell (ankle) in the opening minute. Bell, who injured his left ankle while trying to block a dunk on the opening possession Wednesday, underwent an MRI on Thursday and is the one most likely to sit out Saturday of the three injured players. The Rockets have battled through injuries and just got All-Star James Harden back from a hamstring injury that cost him seven games, including that January 4th matchup with Golden State. Harden’s return helped the Rockets beat up on the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-98 on Thursday. Golden State won in its last seven regular-season trips to Houston. Rockets forward Trevor Ariza and guard Gerald Green will both miss the game while serving the last of a two-game suspension for aggressively entering the Los Angeles Clippers locker room after a loss on Monday.

Sharp shooting guards Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were at it again on Wednesday, combining for 68 points while going 13-of-24 from 3-point range. Curry was the Western Conference’s leading vote-getter in All-Star balloting announced on Thursday and will serve as a team captain along with LeBron James at next month’s All-Star game. Curry will be joined by teammate Kevin Durant and Houston’s Harden as starters for the West. Durant scored under 20 points for the first time since before Christmas, finishing with 19 and missed all five of his three-point attempts.

The Warriors have covered the spread in 4 of the last 5 meetings.

Harden struggled in his first game back, hitting just three of his 15 shots for 10 points in 26 minutes on Thursday and will have his minutes increased gradually. Harden’s return pushed shooting guard Eric Gordon back into a sixth man role, and he responded scoring 30 points on 11-of-19 shooting, including 7-of-13 from 3-point range, in the win. Point guard Chris Paul scored 28 points on 10-of-21 shooting in the last meeting against Golden State.

NBA SCORES – ODDS – PUBLIC PLAYS

Without a 100% healthy Harden, it’s going to be hard for Houston to knock-off the Warriors on Saturday. Golden State is on a roll and healthy. Houston will give them a run, but in the end, the Warriors will prove to be too much.
