The betting line for this year’s Orange Bowl between ACC Champ Virginia Tech and the Stanford Cardinal has seen little action since it opened up at -3 in favor of Stanford at Online sportsbook. The line went to 3.5 on December 20th and that’s where it sits as of Sunday night. The total opened up at 58 and is now 59. Right now, 65% of the betting public is on Stanford and 76% are on the over. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.

Hokies are 14-5 ATS in their last 19 games as an underdog.

Hokies are 20-8 ATS in their last 28 games overall.

Cardinal are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS win.

Cardinal are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games.

Under is 5-1 in Hokies last 6 games in January.

Under is 5-1 in Hokies last 6 games on grass.

Over is 12-5 in Cardinal last 17 games overall.

Over is 7-3 in Cardinal last 10 games following a ATS win.

My Prediction: This game will be the battle of two excellent quarterbacks. The Hokies Tyrod Taylor has thrown 23 TD’s to only 4 interceptions while Stanford’s Andrew Luck has a 28-7 TD/INT ratio. They both can run also. Taylor has 637 yards on the ground while Luck has 438. Both defenses are similar and allow less than 20 points a game. I’m giving the edge to Luck and the Cardinal. He’s a better passer and Stanford has a little better offense.

Stanford -3.5
