Is seems US Senator John McCain has not restricted his target solely on online wagering companies who are providing individuals like yours truly, with a tremendous opportunity to wager on sports events from the comfort of their own home. He has at the same time tried to get congress to ban what he refers to as “human cockfighting”, but like wagering, UFC is surging in popularity.
Here’s what’s not allowed in the “OCTAGON!"

Seemingly on its last legs the UFC was revitalized when in 2000 the organization was purchased by Las Vegas based brothers Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta who own more then a dozen casinos and they enlisted the services of Lorenzo’s childhood friend and now president of UFC Dana White. When the first UFC Championship was fought the first champion Royce Gracie had to fight four fights in one night, whereas now there are weight classes, timed rounds and even drug testing like boxing.
They have a very successful reality television show that allows their target audience of males 18-35 to get familiar with the fighters and the presence of celebrities like George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cindy Crawford and Shaquille O’Neal at ringside has the sport’s popularity surging.
UFC 58 featuring a border war between United States and Canadian Fighters will sell out all 12,000 seats this weekend and UCF 59 in April at the Staples Center sold all 17,000 seats within three weeks of going on sale.
I think I will go place a bet on my Canadian brothers!
