Very rarely would I suggest that a Tiger Woods win would flyunder the radar in terms of America’s affection for sport, butwith the Super Bowl garnering the bulk of attention this pastweekend, this was the case.
Sunday's victory at the Dubai Desert Classic was 57th worldwide— 47 of them on the U.S. PGA Tour. It was also the 10th countryin which he has won an official tournament. Along with titlesin the United States and the United Arab Emirates, he has wonin Thailand, Germany, Spain, Britain, Canada, Ireland, Japan andMalaysia.
After taking December and most of January off to relax, Woodshas sprung out of the gate in 2006 with two straight stunningplayoff victories.
I was all set to write this past Thursday that Woods had nomotivation for winning at Dubai, as he already had a $3 millionappearance fee in his pocket, before he hit his first shot ofthe tournament. Fact be known, he only and I say that tongue incheek received $400,000 for his win.
As mentioned at the top the Super Bowl and football has monopolizedare thoughts for the past six months, but now we can turn areattention to March Madness, Kentucky Derby and of course TigerWoods chase of some additional majors.

you can wager on how many majors you think Mr. Woods will winthis year. If he wins just one you will get back slightly betterthen even money, which I think is a bargain. Two majors will getyou 3-1 odds, three wins 12-1 and the grand salami will net youa cool 35-1.
