TCU vs Wisconsin Odds, Trends, and Free Pick – 2011 Rose Bowl ]]> include($base_url . “/includes/header.htm”); ?>
This year’s most anticipated Bowl game outside of the BCS Championship has undefeated and BCS crashers TCU Horned Frogs against the Big Ten’s Wisconsin Badgers. The betting line has not moved much off the opening line of -3 in favor of TCU. The line briefly went to 2.5 a few weeks ago, but as of Friday night, the line has settled back to 3. The total opened up at 57 and now sits at 57.5 at SportsInteraction.com. Right now, 71% of the betting public is on the underdog Badgers and 59% are on the over. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.
Horned Frogs are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games on grass.
Horned Frogs are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game.
Badgers are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Badgers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
Under is 4-0-1 in Horned Frogs last 5 bowl games as a favorite.
Under is 6-0-1 in Horned Frogs last 7 bowl games.
Under is 4-1 in Badgers last 5 games in January.
Over is 4-1 in Badgers last 5 games after accumulating more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
My Prediction: Both teams average 43.3 points a game and play great defense. TCU has allowed only 11.3 points per game, but their level of competition was far less than Wisconsin’s who allowed 20.5 points a game. I can almost guarantee that Wisconsin will score more than 11 this game, but how much will they allow to TCU’s potent offense? I was a little surprised that TCU was favored, but that shows you the respect they’re getting from oddsmakers. I think this game will be close all the way through with the Badgers pulling it out in the end.
