Saturday’s NFL Preseason Free Picks – Week 3

[ad id=’36391′]

We have reached week 3 of the NFL preseason which means we will see more action from the first teams in each of these games. With all the key injuries that have happened so far, many teams will probably use a little more caution, like not playing your starting QB with the 2nd team offensive line. There is a full slate of action tonight and the RedZone channel will be active. Here are our free picks for each game. Be sure to check out Bovada’s great matchup tools at the bottom of this page.

Steelers +2.5 over Bills – Both of these teams have struggled offensively this preseason, but the Steelers have an extra game under their belts. I’ll take Big Ben in this one.

Giants -1.5 over Jets – The Jets rank near the bottom in both offense and defense this preseason and the Giants and Eli Manning are looking to put together a few good offensive series.

Falcons +3.5 over Dolphins – Matt Ryan has looked terrific for the Falcons so far, but so has Ryan Tannehill for Miami. I expect a shoot-out here. Take the Falcons and the hook.

Vikings +1.5 over Cowboys – Don’t be fooled by the small line. The Cowboys have looked horrible and the Vikings are 3-0. Teddy Bridgewater might be the fantasy surprise of the year.

Bucs -2.5 over Browns – Speaking of looking horrible. The Browns offense only has 27 points in 2 games and Manziel hasn’t looked very good. I think Winston has his best game to date and the Bucs win.

Redskins +4 over Ravens – This will come down to quarterback play. Kirk Cousins and Colt McCoy are outplaying RG3 this preseason. Joe Flacco has a QB rating of 31.7 and the Ravens defense has allowed 33 points per game.

Bears +4 over Bengals – One of the most impressive teams so far has been the Bears with wins of 23-11 and 27-10 over the Colts and Dolphins. The Bengals are on short rest and were blown out Monday night.

Eagles -3 over Packers – The Eagles look completely unstoppable so far this preseason and the Packers are still reeling from the loss of Jordy Nelson. This game opened at Packers -3, so the sharps must know something.

Rams -2.5 over Colts – On paper, this is the worst game of the day. The Colts are averaging 10 points a game while the Rams 8. The Rams defense has been better than Indy’s.

Chargers +1 over Seattle – The Chargers defense has looked terrific. Seattle is one of those teams who really doesn’t play well in preseason or simply just doesn’t care about winning. Take Philip Rivers and the Bolts.

Broncos -5.5 over 49ers – I hate laying this many points in preseason, but the Broncos are 2-0 and this is their first home game. The 49ers were outgained last week against Dallas despite winning 23-6.
