In recent years, the Saints loved playing in Atlanta. In last5 years, they own a 5-1 ATS record vs the Falcons, winning threeof those five games and losing close games twice, once by 3 andonce by 7 pts. Even earlier this season, when no one was givingany chance to this NO team against the Falcons, they barely loston a last second field goal, in a game where they rushed for 211yards and gained a total of 456 yards vs Atlanta's 266.

Looking at the stats of that game, you'll seethat the Saints dominated the Falcons in every major statisticalcategory, including passing yards, rushing yards, first downs, return yards and time of possession. They still managed to losethat game but their effort was brilliant regardless the result. That was their first game after a blatant 52-3 loss to Green Bay.And let's not forget this important fact: the Falcons originallymissed that game winning field goal against the Saints, and itlooked like the game is going to overtime. But NO was called fora defensive holding and the Falcon kicker had another chance tomake that fg and he made it.
So, this is a big revenge game for a team thathas nothing left to lose, except their pride. I really believethat they will try hard tonight to kick Atlanta out of the playoffpicture. We are all well aware of NO problems off the field butdespite those problems, they are competitive week after week.Even last week when they lost to TB, they were moving the ballup and down the field, but they just couldn't score on Bucs, whichis no surprise after watching the Panthers struggle vs this sameBucs defense yesterday.
The Saints outgained four of their last sevenopponents and their last three losses were by 7 pts or less andthose losses came against some elite teams, TB, Chicago and NewEngland.
Atlanta has now lost two straight home gamesand three of their last four overall and if they get out gainedby the Saints, I doubt they will cover this spread.
Going back to last season, Atlanta is 0-9 ATSwhen outgained by the opponent. They need this game badly, butthe Saints should be able to keep it close. The Saints are 12-1ATS in last 13 revenge games as 5+dogs and opponent of loss andAtlanta is 5-14 ATS in last 19 home vs revenge (1-7 ATS since2003). Two solid systems support the New Orleans Saints in thisgame. Good luck all.
