MLB FREE SELECTIONS by Bobby B of Ultimatecapper.com
WASHINGTON NATIONALS (-122) over the Colorado Rockies..7:05 pm EST
Teams headed in opposite directions!
After a VERY HOT start Colorado has COOLED off in a big way losing 7 of their last 10 and have done the FIRST TO WORST flip in a matter of just weeks!. Conversely, the Nationals who have been the worst home team in MLB ALL SEASON LONG, have surprisingly won 8 of their last 10 and are just one win away from going .500 at home with their recent hot streak.
In addition, WASHINGTON seems to have a big edge over the Rocks as the D.C. squad have beaten the Rockies 8 of the last 12 over last 3 seasons, (one of the few winning streaks you'll find with an average team such as the Nationals)
Quick Predict
(1) Momentum is big-time in favor of the D.C. squad as the Nationals recent WINNING STREAK seems to have come at the right time as they play a Rockies team that is simultaneously SELF DESTRUCTING . Looks like the wrong place at the wrong time scenario for todays Rocks!
(2) The PITCHING MATCHUP ALSO FAVORS THE NATIONALSORTIZ who is 3-0 when starting against COLORADO with an ERA of 4.29 and a WHIP of 1.190. His team's record is 3-0 (+3.9 units) in these starts.
(3) The PRICE IS A SOLID VALUE at a small -120 give or take a few bucks.
(4) TRENDS here are decent also in favor of Washington.
The Rockies are a MISERABLE 9-25 over the last 3 years when they are ROAD DOGS of +100 to +125. As previously discussed the Nationals have beaten the Rockies quite handily over last 3 season winning 8 of last 12.
FOR THOSE WHO ARE LOOKING TO PLAY THE TOTAL...TAKE THE UNDER.There is a VERY STRONG trend here also (below - we will stick with WASH SU for the game only, but again for those who like totals, give the UNDER a shot.) 9 of 11 games in this series have gone UNDER THE TOTAL over the last 3 seasons while 4 of the last 6 games played in this series AT WASHINGTON have also gone UNDER THE TOTAL!
