January 24th, 2012 - Flip Saunders - Washington Wizards - Saunders was finally fired after starting the season 2-15. In his 3 seasons with the Wizards, he was a miserable 51-130. Randy Wittman will take of the team for the remainder of the season.
January 5th, 2012 - Paul Westphal - Sacramento Kings - The Kings slow start and escalating dispute with center DeMarcus Cousins prompted president Geoff Petrie to fire Westphal today. He finished with a 51-120 record with the Kings including a 2-5 start this year. Keith Smart will serve as head coach tonight. Update: Keith Smart has been given a 2-year contract to coach through the 2012-2013 season.
