In a series once dominated by the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Missouri Tigers have now turned it around by winning 3 of the last 5 meetings, but still have only won in Lincoln once since 1978. Both teams posses potent offenses and very good defenses. Missouri is surprisingly 4th in the Nation in scoring defense allowing only 13.1 points per game. They are led offensively by QB Blaine Gabbert. After struggling last year taking over for Chase Daniel, Gabbert has come into his own this year passing for almost 1,900 yards and 11 touchdowns, while only throwing 3 interceptions so far. He likes to spread the ball around as four wide receivers have at least 27 catches. He will have his toughest test of the year so far as Nebraska boasts the 3rd ranked pass defense in the Nation allowing only 140 yards a game through the air. The Cornhuskers are also led by their quarterback. Taylor Martinez is not only a good passer, but he will run wild. He has over 1,000 yards passing and 870 yards rushing. Missouri should be looking hard at the Texas/Nebraska game film, because the Longhorns absolutely shut down Martinez, passing and rushing for only 84 yards combined. The winner of this game gets the upper hand in the Big 12 North and a shot at a BCS Bowl berth. Missouri is looking for even bigger things if they can stay undefeated. The favorite in this series has covered the last 4 contests. I can’t see Missouri stopping Martinez like Texas did and I believe the ‘Huskers will win this game by double-digits.

Pick: Nebraska -7.5
