Sooner or later we knew that someone would have to play MuhammadAli at the Super Bowl, to sell a few more newspapers and Steelerslinebacker Joey Porter is doing his best. Seems the former ColoradoState Ram took offense to comments made by Seahawks tight endJeremy Stevens, who suggested that Jerome Bettis’s coming homeparty was not going to include a Super Bowl ring!
The old axiom in sports is that you should never give the opposingteam bulletin board material prior to the big tilt, but my takeon this is that if you need an opposing players comment to getyou pumped for the Super Bowl, you may want to see a shrink!
Porter has suggested that they are going to beat up the Seahawksso bad, that they will quit playing this Sunday, while Stevenshas suggested that there is nothing wrong in his opinion, thathis team will win the game.

Seattle is not going to get blown out, as theyhave far too many skilled players in the areas that are most needed.Their offensive line is the best in the business, the quarterbackhas loads of experience, they have an incredible running backand their coach has won the big game before.
When you have players like Shaun Alexander, SteveHutchinson, Walter Jones, Grant Winstrom and Hasselbeck, playingin the Super Bowl is not nerve wracking. These guys come fromcollege programs that have 100,000 fans in the stadium every Saturdayand the majority has played in huge bowl games.
I think back to the game in Philadelphia thisyear when Seattle blew out a good Eagles defense 42-0. I’m notsaying that this will occur on Sunday, but if you think that theSteelers are going to shutdown the Seahawks offense, all I cansay is good luck!
As for Porter, he had better hope that Alexanderdoesn’t run right over him!
