The betting line for this year’s Texas Bowl between the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Baylor Bears has seen a lot of back and forth with the spread and total at BetUS.com. Baylor opened up as 1.5-point favorites and the line has moved from 1.5 to 1 to 2 to 1.5 and now back to 1 as of Tuesday morning. The total opened at 61.5 and has moved up to 63. Right now, 80% of the betting public is on the Bears and 71% are on the over. To help you better decide who to bet, take a look at these trends for tonight.

Fighting Illini are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss.

Fighting Illini are 4-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

Bears are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games following a ATS loss.

Bears are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games on grass.

Over is 7-0 in Fighting Illini last 7 games following a S.U. loss.

Over is 14-2 in Fighting Illini last 16 games as an underdog of 0.5-3.0.

Under is 4-0 in Bears last 4 non-conference games.

Over is 7-1 in Bears last 8 games overall.

My Prediction: This one should be another high scoring Bowl game as both defenses give up a lot of points. Baylor lost their last 3 games against tough competition. This game could go either way. I really don’t like taking 6-6 teams in Bowl games. I think Baylor QB Robert Griffin has a big game and Baylor wins a shootout.

Baylor -1
