ARENA Football 2006 insight

This league is too insignificant and brief to have its own slot. It runs mainly while NFL is idle so we should just discuss it in here.

I have watched the AFL for a few years and never bet until this past weekend............................went 2-1 with the wins being bigger bets than the loser bet was.

I think if a few of us dig around and follow the league we can serve up some EZ pikins to each other.

we should post our "knowledge" in here and weekly pix could be in another NEW thread or just here.

what is AFL "knowledge" ?

here is my attempt (s)

1 - of the 8 games this past weekend NONE were decided by under 10 points

2 - several teams seem to have scoring issues. 6 of the 8 losing teams did not breach 36 points, 2 of them were HOME teams

I have a little knowledge on a few of the AFL players. I will post what i know as i dig deeper into the league

Craig Whelihan is the QB for vegas and i met this guy years ago briefly. He is a true "dude" ................... he would rather be surfing then playing football.

I liken him to Todd Marinovich but with less skill and more brains

Whelihan is not the answer at QB for vegas. Austin is using the guy who was with vegas last year. He should be motivated to squash vegas

my plan this year ........................... bet against Whelihan at every chance where i see it as a good play, especially when he is on the road vs a solid team
