i have money on miami to win it all, pays 2300$. despite that, i was thinking detroit tonight, but everyone here certainly do make valid points
question is, what is the line so low for miami? surely due to wade's status. now if wade is expected to not have a huge performance, then that explains the -2 line. and without wade scoring 25+, i dont think miami can win this one. Now if wade will be playing, and expected to play well, line should be -4 at least.
you would think book put the link at -2 to get people to load up on miami, but last i saw, public is split 50/50.
i try to think, what if i were asleep for the past week, woke up, saw heat -2, i would hit it like mad. and this is usually when i lose money. how many times this season have i hit teams -2 (suns and sac most times) when i expected a blowout, only to have the dog win
granted this is game 7 IN MIAMI, but if i got 7 friends and invited detroit to my school gym to play, would my team beat them? though homecourt has plays a huge roll, i wouldnt base my bet on trends in this case since you have a heavily injured heat team. Detroit will play tough D as they usually do, and heat being hurt only weakens their Offense. the moeny question, besides wade being out, is will Heat be able to play effective D on Detroit?
to say detroit isnt a deep team and that miami is, IMO, is false. If anything, detroit was underrated going into the playoffs.
Just recall that Detroit has proven they can win in Miami, and pistons are better then they were during the regular season, and miami isnt as good as they were during the 82 games...
its just one of those things you can envision, and for some reason, its detroit that i see on the NBA.com homepage celebrating their Eastern conference win.
my novel is done, good luck no matter who you pick!
