Sunday NBA writeups
Pistons @ Pacers (2-1)-- Detroit scored 28 points in the first half of Game 3 loss; their FG% in this series drops each game (46.6%-41.6%-36.9%) and they are 13-45 beyond the arc. Indiana has yet to shoot 40% from the floor in series; under is 3-1 at Conseco in playoffs so far this spring. Visitor is 5-2 in this series so far this season.
Spurs (2-1) @ Sonics-- San Antonio missed 15 of 34 foul shots in Game 1, and lost by point; their FG% was just 43.8% in Game 3, compared to 50.7%-52.8% in first two series games. Seattle is 4-0 at home in playoffs this season, but they'll need to improve on 10-41 on 3's, if they're going to put Spurs in danger in this series.
Suns (2-1) @ Mavericks-- Teams that run play better in road games, and no one runs like Suns, who are 6-1 in playoffs, 3-0 on foreign soil, scoring 117.3 ppg. Simple game for Phoenix; when they run and get easy hoops, it is no contest; when they are forced to half court game, and miss close-in shots like they did at end of Game 2, then its a crapshoot. Dallas was 1-18 on treys in Game 3 Suns were 11-22 (30-62 in series, excellent shooting)
