Geo Wash -2.5 v. Temple -- I was at the Temple/UD game last night and Temple looks so damn big. They looked like men compared to UD's boys last night...neither here nor there, Temple is prone to poor shooting droughts. I think Geo Wash's athletes get this one done. This will only be a one unit play because I don't know how motivated the Temple players are without Chaney...last night, Temple looked great in the first half, giving up 16 points...but they gave up like 45 in the second half. Think GW is a bad matchup and will be too much.
Xavier +2 v. St. Joe's -- Hey, I like St. Joe, so this is not a homer pick. But this game is in Cincy...and truth be told? I think the only team in the A 10 that could beat X twice in one year is Temple, because X matches up horribly with Temple. I like Martelli, I like the Hawk flapping his wings...but I think X has the better talent here. I look for Burrell and Cage to have a better effort shutting down Carroll. THe first game between these two, St. Joe shot out to a 20 point lead early in the second half...X whittled it down to 4 with 4 minutes left and lost by 8. X is playing better now than they were then. Plus, with Bryant out, who is a defensive stopper down low, I look for more motivated play from Brian Thornton and Will Caudle. In front of the home town crowd, I think X wins by 8-12 points.
