Talk about no damn respect. I see an awful lot of people on the Jets. We are talking about a jets team that couldn't beat ST LOUIS. St. Louis swhould not be in the damn play offs. They are 8-8! The Jets are 10-6 and SD is 12-4 a full TWO games better than the Jets. San Diego has a hell of a Stingy Defense and the Jets offense is lackluster and the last month has sucked. No Respect. THe Jets say they didn't back into the Playoffs, but hell they went 1-3 the last month vs. all playoff teams, with th eonly victory against Seattle. This may be my Rodney Dangerfield Play.
Coaching:
Herm Edwards - I respect the guy as a coach, but how many times do I have to see this guy cry? Seems like every time I trun on a pre-game show he is crying about something or another.
SHottenheimer - A True NFL coach. Uses Tight Ends, Focuses on Running Game. Had the BALLS to stick with Drew Brees.

Quarterbacks Pennington/Brees
Check out Brees Numbers:
Almost 3200 yards, 65.5Compl Perc. 27:7 TD to INT Ratio and a 104 QB Rating.
Pennington had 600 LESS yards, 11 LESS TDs and 2 more INTS, His QB rating was 91.
Without Looking at the Opponents D, I'd say Brees has the Advantage, But comparing these guys vis-a-vis the Oppenents D, consider:
The SD Pass O and the NYJ Pass D are evenly matched. Both are slightly better than average.
However the SD Passing D has givin up a TON of yards. As a matter of fact they are 31st in the leauge vs. the pass. This would appear to be a big advantage for NYJ however, the NYJ are not built to take advantage of this type of weakness.
SLIGHT ADVANTAGE NY JETS
Running Game:
Curtis Martin - Truly one of the all time greats. He is so UNDERATED. However he is older now and 16 games is a long time to play. I really respect this guy but the tires are showing their wear. The Jets have the Thirrd best RG in the NFL but they go against a Chargers team that allows less than 82 yeards per game.
L.Tomlinson - Just like Martin, Tomlinson is AMAZINGLY underrated. Tomlinson can do it all: 1300 rushing yards 51 receptions and 1800 total yards. Plus he was 1-2 Passing with a 95 QB Rating. Again these teams are evenly matched on the Offensive and Defensive side of the ball.

Based upon the ABove discussion of the Passing Game, there is a clear advantage for the NEW YORK JETS
OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF
THe Jets Schedule: THe Jets are 1-3 in their last four games against Pitts, NE, Sea and St Louis (all are Playoff Teams) The Jets are 1-4 vs. .500 or better teams on the Road. Jets Played NE and then travelled to St. Louis then Back to NY and now out to San Diego on a short week following an OVERTIME Game.
S.D. has won 9 of their last 10 and but for 3 points vs. Indy, the would have won 10 of their last 10. They showed me something vs. Indy. This is a real team.
San Diego Wins this thing Straight UP
Who Covers?
SD Is an AMAZING 13-1-2 ATS this season. THAT IS NOT A MISPRINT 13-1-2 and what is more amazing is they are 7-0-1 ATS at HOME! Read those sentences again!
If SD hits 24 or more points they will cover. Mostly because I don't see the Jets scoring more than 20 points in this game. Since losing to the JEts at home SD has allowed 24 points at home Once, 21 points Once and all other home games (5 of them) have been 17 or less.
Jets should be 14 to 17 points
SD should be 24 to 42 points.
Have to go with San Diego -7
Over / Under
Looking at the above it would appear that the total of the game should be between 38 to 59 points.
SD is 10-3 over in its last 13 home games and with the line being low, I go with the over.
