12-8 YTD with USC pending. Picks for Wednesday....here is what I like now.....I should get an internet account because I will get screwed by my local on these tomorrow...anyhoo, here they are...

VCU -2.5 @ Iona -- Iona has lost badly to a bad schedule. Coming off the Siena loss, they will not be able to rebound against a very respectable VCU team who has played a much better schedule.....my local will line fuck me on this one...but I like this one up to -4.5.

Lasalle +25 @ Cincy -- Don't get me wrong...I see UC winning this one BIG...just not 25+. LaSalle is in by no way the Dream Team...but I think their tough schedule thus far this year keeps them within 25 of the Bearcats.

KU -14 v. Wisc-Mil -- Kansas should dominate this one from start to finish after a sluggish peformance against South Carolina. Envisioning a 20+ win here at home.

Wake Forest -2.5 @ UNM -- The Pit is nasty...no doubt about it. But this line is almost fishy low. Wake plays @ the Dean Dome, @ Cameron Indoor Arena, @ Winston Salem, @ Raleigh....and so on. Does the Pit account for that many points against a seasoned WF team? I don't see it. I see this one as either a complete domination...or a game where UNM sticks around for about 30 minutes and then Wake pulls away to win by DD with free throws. I will get absolutely anally raped on this one by my local...again, all is good...I like WF up to -7.5.

Other leans include:

St. Joe +9 @ ODU -- St. Joe's getting no respect...and rightfully so. I see them putting up a fight in this one...not sure though...

Az St -10.5 v. Santa Clara -- Just like the more talented team playing at home...AZ St. has proven that they like that home court.

Well, that's it. Let me know if I'm totally off base.

GL!!

nigel- GL! like the lasalle play...cincy is lazy and doesn't finish games very often...they may be up by 35 mid 2nd H, but lasalle will sneak inside the number. Be WARY of the PIT.....WFU hasn't played well on the road this year. They got drilled in ILL and barely beat TEM. The PIT will be the toughest place they may play all season from a noise and energy standpoint (yes, including DUKE). NM has played a phony schedule, but i want to see WFU play well on the road once, and i want to see how good NM really is before i jump on either one of these teams.... GL! sucks about the buckeyes QB situation!

Adding:

Long Beach State +8.5 v. Georgetown -- LB State is solid. I've done well playing them this year. Edward got me turned on to them earlier in the year....haven't seen Edward post lately, but I'm thinking he would like this pick.

Dropping the Kansas game...the combination of a "non home game" home game along with the absence of Simien scared me off.

13-9 YTD....stupid, stupid USC. Not covering -5 when you're up 20 at half is bad enough...inexcusable...especially to Ind State on a netrual floor...but fouling a 3 point shooter when you're up 7 with 1 second left...beyond fuckin' words.

I added a unit on UAB -5 out of pure rage...probably not a good idea betting against a team out of blind fuckin' rage...but I did it anyway...hope it works out for me.

Edit:

Az St. -10 v. Santa Clara -- This Santa Clara team is a little hard to figure out. They beat UNC and Stanford @ home...but got drilled @ The Pit by UNM and lost @ Cal Poly SLO. Az St seems to be on a roll and playing well at home. I'll lay the wood here.

GL to everyone tonight...hope I can get some good luck tonight...got in a fucking accident on the way home from work today. Its a blizzard in southwest Ohio right now. A car lost control in front of me and was going down I 71 (a major highway) sideways taking up both lanes...there were three cars that had already gone off the side of the road in the exact same place due to black ice. Couldn't stop in time....it wasn't my fault, but its gonna be a pain in the ass nonetheless. Minor damage and no injuries whatsoever...but it doesn't suck any less.

GL! Time to try to wind down with a little bit o this....:gulp:

Ah...very close by. I live in Lebanon. Be glad your in So Cal and not in Ohio today...hell, be glad you're in So Cal instead of Ohio everyday...but especially today. It is HORRIBLE outside...and the road crews aren't good enough...and nobody knows how to drive in the snow.

That's the state of Ohio...people in Cleveland can drive through 2 feet of snow like its not even there...Cincinnati shuts down if there is 1 1/2 inches of snow...I bet most people around the country would think all Ohioans are used to snow...nope. They are calling for possibly 9-13 inches by tomorrow...and it started today. If that happens, I won't plan on leaving the house tomorrow. Like I said, nothing for people in Cleveland or Buffalo...but it doesn't nearly snow as much down here.
