Posting my Wednesday Plays before my Tuesday Plays are even over haha...sorry have to go to bed soon and get up for damn work all day.
Record:
5* 4-1 (USC Pending)
3* 4-5
2* 2-1
1* 3-2
13-9 +12.6 Units
Looks like a pretty decent card for tomorrow...
2* Butler -4.5 OVER Ball St.
Butler looking real good at home so far (4-0). The key reason for me playing this game is both teams playing Miami-Ohio already. Butler played them at home and gave them a nice licken by 13 points. Ball St. played them on the road and lost by 8. The loss came in overtime, however, so that is why it is a small play. Miami dominated Ball St. in the first half and the game had all the signs of a blowout, but Miami decided to ease up in the 2nd half and let Ball St. come back. Butler won't be as forgiving as they are a very solid defensive team and I look for them to win by 7-10 here.
5* Charlotte -1 @ Indiana
Charlotte has a very good chance to make a nice run at the Conference USA championship this year. They can kill you from beyond the arch and they can also pound it inside. They are very balanced and they usually have 4 or 5 guys in double figures. They are 6-2 with their two losses being by a combined 3 points (Rutgers, Alabama). Indiana on the other hand, as sad as it sounds, could possibly finish dead last in the Big Ten. Their patented 3 pt shooting has been awful so far and they are riding a 5 game losing skid. Unless Bracey Wright finally decides to show up, this one could be disasterous for Indiana early on. Wright also suffered a broken nose on Sunday against Missouri so that may affect his play. Charlotte should be able to win this one by blowout.
10* Wake Forest -2 @ New Mexico
Word around the street is that Wake Forest is very overrated at #5. Well this line of -2 proves that. I have been a huge Wake follower even before the Timmy Duncan years and I know that this year's team is even better than the one they had in Duncan's senior year. The Deacs know that this game is very important, especially since ACC play starts in a week and a half. They will play with a lot of intensity in this one, just like they did in the Preseason NIT. Jamal Levy is an amazing defender and he should be able to stop New Mex's go to guy Granger. New Mexico's guards are way overmatched in this one, considering Paul and Gray are one of the best backcourts in the game. Williams is turning into a stud down low and New Mexico just won't have an answer for the Deacons offense. Wake will play one of their best games of the season and will roll to 10-1 on the season.
5* Arizona St. -10.5 OVER Santa Clara
Ike Diogu is all I have to say about this one. The guy is just incredible down low, and because of that, Arizona St. is nailing 3-pointers left and right. Just look at what ASU was able to do against Northwestern, whom I bet on by the way. They scored 90 points in their 35 point massacre against NU. Prior to that game, Northwestern was only giving up like 57 points per game. If you don't double up on Diogu down low he will score every time and if you do double up on him, you leave someone wide open for 3, and everyone on ASU can nail the three. Santa Clara will have absolutely no stop for ASU's offense. ASU wins by 20+ in this one.
3* VCU -2 @ Iona
VCU with a total talent edge in this game. Capel is a great coach for VCU and he has whipped a pretty decent team. They have hung in their against Wake Forest and they have had a great win over Richmond. Iona so far has played 8 weak games and only won 2 of them. This will probably be a fairly low scoring matchup here, but I just don't see any signs that Iona has the talent level to keep up with VCU.
1* Wyoming -2 OVER Washington St.
This is my weakest play of the night. I just like the fact that Washington St. has absolutely no scoring ability. They have already posted scores of 37 and 29 so far. Wyoming has played some solid games this year beating Creighton on the road, Princeton at home, and barely losing to Kansas St. I am just giving the slight edge to the home team in this affair and think Wyoming can pull of the win.
