I am a very infrequent poster, but a regular point spread player who thought I would give my input into the bowl games. Most of my plays are based on my own research, although I certainly check the posts of various people on this board (i.e., Queen, Bo, Dead, Joe Pa, etc.) Thanks for your help throughout the years. This site is a true fountain of information.

Well, here we go.

(My picks in Bold)

Syracuse +5 over Ga Tech
The question that comes to mind when looking at this game is which teams will come to play next Tuesday. Will it be the SU team that stayed with FSU and beat BC or will it be the team that got crushed by Purdue and beaten by lowly Temple? In the same regard, which GT team shows up? The one that beat NC State and Maryland or the lackluster team that seems to show up every few weeks. I personally see SU showing up big in this game. I think that with Reyes back and the somewhat undersized Tech D line the Orange will be able to control the ball with their running game. I also look at the fact that Ga Tech probably went into the game against UGA looking at it as their real bowl game. The disappointment of that loss sticks with them as the Orange pull this one out SU in a relatively low scoring affair.

Memphis ML over Bowling Green
Being from Northwest Ohio originally I have always followed BG football. This year I have seen them play 5 times, each time walking away impressed with the offenses' ability to put up points. I think that Omar Jacobs, Cole Magner, and BJ Pope will have a very solid game against Memphis. That being said, I don't think they will put up enough points to win the game. The main reason I say this is DeAngelo Williams. He will be a man among boys against the Falcons. I look for him to put up at least 180 yards on the ground with 2-3 TDs. And when BG begins to stack the line to stop Williams I see Wimprine duplicating the effort he put up against a pretty good Louisville defense. In a high scoring game I like the Memphis ML.

Cincinnati -1.5 over Marshall
I too had the opportunity to see Marshall play a few times this year. From what I saw they have a very solid defense and a pretty good running game. I personally think Stan Hill is a bit overrated. UC has been up and down all season. The beat a strong Memphis team and good So. Miss team (one that looked head and shoulders better than its opponent in the New Orleans Bowl). That being said the were crushed by Louisville team. The score of that game is somewhat misleading as Guidugli went out with an injury, and without him UC is a poor team. Supposedly he is going to be back for this game; in what type of shape, I don't know. If Guidugli is healthy and can sling the ball around I like UC to win this game by 3-4 points. If he is not healthy I am staying away. Not one of my strongest plays but I will go with UC, pending Guidugli's status.

More plays to come. . .

Like the Memphisto and UC picks...IF Gino is at QB and is also healthy.....if not I'm taking the UNDER in that game.....The Orange are not happy with Pasquiloni's re-hire, lost to the Owls, and feel their schedule is softer than their ACC opponent who has a great D. Siding with the more athletic QB....

GL on your plays bro.....

I like GT for three reasons: better defense, tougher conference and the game isn't in a Dome. As much as I dont really like Ball, I think his play over the last few games has opened up QB competition for next season, starting with this game. I think both Bilbo and Ball play well in hopes of getting leg up on next year. The return of PJ Daniels does nothing but help GT.

Dead, JoePa and Skwerl-
I can certainly see where you are coming from on the GaTech game. GT's conference is definitely better and the game is not in a dome. I just think that with Reyes returning and the Cuse running game being at full strength they will be able to control the ball. But you are right, Temple?!!?!! Oh well, that's why they play the games.

GL on your plays!

Let me be the first to apologize for picking Syracuse. What the hell was I thinking? If this is any indication of things to come with my picks I might as well just give my money away. Oh well, go Memphis!?!?
