Hurry Ref before the other members see me asking.....what gets you banned? Is it for breaking the written rules, are there rules that are not spoken but should be understood? Is there a place to see the topics on banning i.e rules? As I mentioned before and was deleted....to have a cohesive forum of members who respect each other the structure is vital so knowing right from wrong should be written and not just understood! The rules of the forum should be the LAW break it and your out dont and your not..it is that easy...but if you dont know the LAW then you dont know you broke it!

Fellas, I agree that we need rules and guidelines, but along with that comes maturity, comes choices, decisions and consequences. Look, if Italian1 was taking up for Quick, then that is fine, but he did go over the line with the way in which he handled it. Just letting the idiot know that he didn't belong in Quick's thread would have been enough. Some members are asking that Italian be warned, did he give the other person just a warning? nope, he bashed him right off the bat..
Bo, I have seen you bash guys, but you have never used racial slurs. I am not about being politically correct, but my Dad did teach me right from wrong.. I don't need a Mod or Ref to tell me that...

Just my opinion but Kevin gives the moderators permission/power to delete what they feel is necessary to keep BS off the site. If you have a problem with a moderator, I would suggest emailing Kevin and discussing. It really doesn't do a lot of good to start a flaming war in an open forum because inevitably others get involved, feelings get hurt, someone gets pissed and then you have an all out war. Take it up with Kevin and then accept his decision or if you disagree move on but a flaming war really does nobody any good.

CEO...lets hope not!Did he also teach you that driving within 5ft of the car in front of you is tailgating?Did he teach you that not walking in the crosswalk is jaywalking?Did he teach you that going 65 in a 55 is speeding? He maybe did he maybe didnt but those are laws and you break them and get caught you will pay the ticket!Speeding is wrong but you dont need your Dad to tell you because it is a law and you know that from taking the drivers ed class!Stealing is wrong and you dont need your mom to explain why because there is a written law that says steal and go to jail!Calling someone a pinapple eating A$$ jockey is wrong and racial and you dont need your dad to explain why!Break a rule get the boot, break a law get the collar....knowing the rules and laws will help you avoid both!Bash me be prepared for the shitstorm that will become your life...stay away from me and we are all good!It is a rare day when I would attack somebody w/out a great reason!

I agree totally! In fact, I believe the mods should delete more posts! I'm sure I've had my fair share of posts that needed to be deleted from the forum!

When I first came here I caused a bunch of shit! Yomonte and I argued for three days and he deleted some of my posts! I'm glad he did now after 2400 posts later! What I was saying was not good for the morale of the forum! I was a complete jackass and Yomonte did his job! I'm very grateful for Yo's patience because he didn't ban me (the 2nd time) and I've enjoyed this site more than any other on the web! Queen, you were very patient, too! No more "whad dups", Yo....I swear!!! LOL!

I think some of you guys should relax if your post is deleted! The mods or refs do it to maintain harmony in the forum! Noone should think they deserve more respect than anyone else!

You are right Bo.... but on the other hand.... calling someone a racial slur is verbal assualt, and you can be prosecuted for it (WRITTEN LAW). So I see no reason someone shouldn't be banned from a website for it.... we are all adults here... we should know right from wrong, without every little rule being posted. You may not recall.... but when you first signed up at UC, a list of bannable "offenses" was listed (which you had to agree to in order to sign up)... one of which was having a "cancerous" attitude, or something to that effect.... I would definitely consider using racial "slurs" as a cancerous attitude.

No offense intended to you Bo, just my opinion....

I watched all this shit go down and here is my take....could be wrong or right or both,anyways..................

I do think it was BS to shut down Bo's thread titled "rules".....the first one I could see coming because I1-6 and WOP were using it to keep the BS going...

The one "rules" was fair enough and should have been left up but I feel was probably taken down to try and settle the heat that was going on. Is that right?...No...Is it wrong?..No....I do think it was not handeled properly and at the minimum an explanation was due from referree and the thread closed or just saying....Hey Bo...I'll e-mail you and we can handle it there to squash it....I feel this would have been the right thing to do

As far as the rules go...maybe a sticky at the top of each forumn column titled RULES in bold letters to draw your eye would work.

Also before your admitted you have to at least say you read the rules before being allowed to enter...will it work?...honestly I don't know but hey you said you read them so it's on you...

Common sense must apply....race BS everyone knows won't fly

Bo....I'm with ya bro and I did watch it all go down....lets hope we all can move on and win some damn money...fuck all this other shit going down

Bo....with that said....something else I saw is on my list to go get now.....coming soon to a room near you...hope it's ok and if not I'm sorry now but it's coming anyways....

I guess it could be said that guys should treat others as if they were sitting in their living room with them.

As far as rules go, all we ask is that guys use common sense when coming here.

I understand the need to flame a guy from now and then. Hell, I too like to bark every once in awhile when necessary.

Anyway, lets get past this and move on. Bo, if you still have issues with anything thats happened today please drop me a line at ultimatecapper@hotmail.com to discuss.

I take full responsibility for any moderator actions as I trust these people as if they were myself.

If you're offended by you're post getting deleted, please accept my apology and lets mark this up to a misunderstanding. Nobody wants to censor you, they were just doing what they thought was right in diffusing a situation in which they felt it was a dead topic and time to move on. Aint nobody wanting to play the role of hitler here and aint nobdoy ever excited about banning guys. The idea here is to grow and exchange info. When something grossly deviates from that, we sometimes get put in a spot where one of us has to make an unpopular decision. :(

Lets move past this and get picking some games.

Kevin

Sorry Bo was at work. Let me just say one thing. Up top on all forums I did enter a sticky thread with some half assed rules on it. I thought it would help new people when posting. It did do one thing it did cut down on a lot of ad Posters. We went from about 10 to 12 a day of ad poster to about 3 or 4 a week. Some weeks more just depends. I dont know where this thing about posting a Lock came in to play. It's a word that most posters here on the site hate. My take on a poster that posts a Lock is looking for attention and nothing more. You will notice that a poster will get more feedback over posting something stupid in the title.

I go through and edit out alot of stuff. It's bashing stuff and I edit it and let it go as long as the poster lets it go. Sometime I say Time out go to bed wake up in the morning and be buddies.

But my goodness when will people learn that if they get banned over something to not just keep signing up over and over. Email Kevin and work it out. Sometimes he dont answer right away he's a busy man, but he will answer back to a problem and work it out.

I dont think there is one monitor on this site that is power happy. We all have the same goal and that is to keep a garbage post free forum. Someday's it's smooth sailing, some like today.
