Question about online poker.....how do they stop cheaters?? Can't 2 or 3 people get in on the same game, and just talk over the phone and play as a team?
Chris, where do you play?
Thanks!

yes that can happen....I have been playing in live tournaments locally rather than play with real $ online....I was told some time ago that a favorite scam to run with online poker is to get 6 guys outta 10 at the same table and they can IM back and forth info to take your money....I am heading down to Atlantic City tomorrow by the way....will be popping into the poker rooms myself....wish me luck....

Online collusion is tough to stop. Alot of guys use 2-10 IP addresses and play in the same room called boiler rooms. There are also programs out there to buy, ie winholdem, that project pot odds, and percentages that can give an advantage to a novice player. Partypoker and Pokerstars are starting to do a pretty good job at stopping the programs. Your best bet if your going to play tourneys online is to play the multi tables. It's alot tougher for the colluders to get at the same table and team up. Unfortunately, talking on the phone will never be stopped. Yo dead, GL in AC. I play down there alot, I'm sure you have already tried these, but the tourneys at the Borgata are great. Unlimited rebuys for the first 3 rounds kind of sucks, but makes for a sweet prize pool. The Monday morning tourney @ 11:00am is full of novice players, but there is some real talent as well. BOL!!!!!!
