I hope USC loses 69-3 in the BCS title game or better yet, loses to UCLA before they even get there. AUBURN belongs there anyway.
This dirty son of a bitch thinks he's cool running it up on Notre Dame with a fake f'n punt after they're up 34-10 with 7 mins to go.
This is the dirtiest f'n sportsmanship i think i have ever seen. And what's worse is there's no point to it. They're already #1 in all polls. Not like they're trying to move up.
Yea, I'm really impressed Pete. You and your USC boys can suck my ass.
Guess when you suck ass as an NFL coach you gotta make yourself feel special by beating up on unranked teams by as many points as you can.
I hope he craps in bed tonight.
What a disgrace. This BCS shit is ruining college football and what it is supposed to stand for....SPORTSMANSHIP.
There's none of that left.

You can blame the BCS for that, because this year running up the score counted in the ratings. I guess USC was pissed they was left out last year, so they run up the score to get there this year. Auburn is going to get short changed this year because there SOS is only at 74th in the nation. USC's SOS 9, OK's SOS 18, that's what ranks them over Auburn.

yea, i saw that play too...didnt see that comming..i guess it's good for those who took USC, because they were only up by 24 and spread was at 22.

It's a shame too. Not only did I have Notre Dame +24 (woulda pushed)....I just hate to see a team keep piling on another team once they have em beaten in college football just because of this stupid BCS rating thing.
That last TD that came from the fake punt sure as heck wasn't gonna make a difference weather they play in the BCS championship game or not. Obviously for USC, it's win out and you're in at this point. Not win by 50+ every game and you're in like say a Boise St or Utah has to do just to earn a top 6 ranking.
The only thing that REALLY made me mad that night was the fake punt. If a team is just running their offense trying to run out the clock and they happen to score cause the other team can't stop em, then fine....but fake punts aren't necessary with 5 mins to go in the game and up by 24 pts.
All i say is that what goes around comes around, and I sure hope USC "gets theirs" before it's all over. It was just uncalled for.
A shame for Auburn too as far as their SOS goes, cause I think they would beat USC...or Oklahoma.

You know who Pete Carroll reminded me of running a fake punt, Ty Willingham the Notre Dame coach. Last year Notre Dame was winning 50-7 against a hapless Stanford team when Ty decided to do the same thing and run a fake punt which resulted in a final score of 57-7. Maybe Pete was paying Ty back for doing the same thing to a PAC 10 team last year. What goes around comes around.

Maybe that is true.
I wasn't defending Notre Dame or Ty Willingham though. Really it doesn't matter who they were playing, the game was over and I just saying that it's wrong in general to do that and it's screwing up college football with these teams running scores up once they've already won, no matter what the reason.
I always hear that one of the main things college sports are supposed to be about is sportsmanship, and there's none of that left. They might as well pay the athletes too. Teaching the kids revenge certainly isn't exactly the best message to send em.
I also said it was wrong a few weeks ago when Oklahoma did it to Kansas or whoever it was....when they were passing inside the 10 yd line with only seconds to go in the game and already up 20+ pts....and I'm a Sooners fan....but what's wrong is wrong. Coincidentally Miami had just passed Oklahoma to move them into 3rd place in the BCS just before that game too. What a surprise.

USC rank NO 1 alot of people and voters dont think they should be there the only way to show everyone is to run up the score and stay at the 1 spot. also I had USC sorry better luck next time!!!!!!!! GL to the rest of your picks

I think you are avoiding what ravenmaniac might be saying stifler.
You have over 6,000 posts. Did you say anything last year when ND and Ty did that to another team? Just curious.

Stifler I agree strongly with everything you said. Pete is a fucking girl. Anybody who lets Snoop Dogg into there practice is a bonehead. I think USC is beatable by a good running team. I am hoping the Buffaloes and Bruins pull off a miracle otherwise we will face the ACC champion in the sugar bowl.

Stiff, It's not just the BCS, it's been like that for 40 years, I guess you are too young to remember the way the Oklahoma's and Nebraska's and YES the Notre Dame's use to run scores up on everyone because of the poll rankings way before the BCS ever came into play. Just curious bro did you happen to bet Notre Dame and the 24 points vs So. Cal?????? I'll tell you something else Notre Dame had So. Cal on the rope's in the 1st qtr and if Notre Dame could have run the score up on So. Cal they would have in a heartbeat!!!!

Let's keep to the point though. Pete Carroll is a bitch! I wish they would lose so I could see AUB play OU. I want my Sooners in regardless, but Pete think he's the shit. He couldn't make it through a season in the big12. Texas could even let them have it in Austin. I know they are good but come on, he's not as good as he thinks he is.

Stiff, Baseballer, Smash and all you other Pete Carroll haters:
Pete Carroll is one of the classiest, charismatic and most liked coaches in all of college football. I dont know his reasoning for running that fake punt and i agree yes it looked shady, but i guarantee it had NOTHING to do with showing up Notre Dame. Maybe it was BCS motivated, sticking up for the Pac 10 or who knows, maybe the fkin punter made the decision on his own to throw the pass, but i can guarantee you it was done for some reason...Pete Carroll is a class act, and has never been accused of runnig up the score. Sorry if your spread was busted because of it, i'd be pissed too but dont go bad mouthing Carroll because he truely is a solid guy.
Unlike many college coaches Carroll consistently takes out his starters in the 3rd and 4th quarters when USC has a big lead to give his younger players experience. He has a long history of doing this.
Sorry if u guys are butt hurt because your spread was busted, but Pete Carroll is a solid guy

Something else for ya'll to put in your pipe and smoke:
- The play resulted in a 15 yard pass interference penilty and did not put any points on the board
- Carroll says that USC wanted to control the clock and not give Notre Dame the ball back (Sloppy weather = anything can happen)
- Ty Willingham was quoted as saying he'd do the same thing if he saw the weakness in the USC punt return coverage.
If u saw the play, the man who was covering USC's gunner was all over him, very physical. Im sure USC saw this and knew they could get the interference call if they just threw it up.
I've got a box of tissues here if you still want to cry about it

This has nothing to do with who I want in the NC or who I think should be playing for the Hardware. I agree with Raven and G this is CFB you run up the score, you get teams back for fucking with you and your conference!Thats the system hate the game but dont hate the players! If your pissed because it didnt cover thats another thing. Pete Carrol is top notch and any program in the country would bend over for him!He had his reasons for running the play witch didnt actually score any points and if you think the sportsman ship was shoddy and wasnt teaching the right message, this message was taught years ago when computers didnt matter and they ran it up because they could! Thanks for covering$

I say USC has done a real good job of not running up the scores....trust me, I've had my $$$ :puke: cause of them pulling the starters out.
