Doggies will bark today!

NEVADA +25 - Boise may be undefeated but on the road they have had nothing but close calls aganinst teams they were far superior to on paper. Nevada is no slouch and can throw the ball against a very weak Boise secondary. On the blue carpet, Boise has no peers, off it they have problems. This is way too many points on he road, BCS bowl or no in the offing.

TULSA +8 - UTEP is another team that strggles on the road and has been the beneficary of a pile of turnovers in their favor all year. Tulsa's record may not be pretty bu they took Boise to overtime at home. UTEP is still celebrating from last week's win that will give them a good bowl spot. Again, too many points for the home team.

MISSOURI+4.5 - Is there a more taltned team with a worse record than Misso? That can all be erased today vs. Cyclones. I-State has played as well as anybody the last month, and the Tigers as bad as anybody. Given that, this line should be at least 7 or 8, but it is not. Missouri puts it together and shows what talent can do in this spot. The world loves I-St, but I think this is the week to get off them.

VIRGINIA+4 - Blacksburg is a black hole to play in for anybody, but Virigina has the horses and the coaching pedigree to duke it out here with VT. Actually, I think the Cavs have more talent than VT on their roster. This is a rivalry game that will go to the wire and getting more than a FG here is the way to go.

SYRACUSE -+12 - Taking the Orange away from the Dome usually mans trhey get crushed. But their coach's job hangs in the ballance, their top RB Reyes will play and BC's QB, who has looked like Doug Fluitie lately, is out with a broken hand. Much pressure on BC to win for a BCS bowl spot. Can they handle the pressure? Not by 2 TDS it says here.

OKIE STATE+4.5 - The Cowpokes quitely have had a great season and even had Texas on the ropes 28-0 before self-destructing. They have the running game to keep Tech off the field. See plenty of points here but in the end, Okie State's running game shortens the game for an outright victory.

NORTHWESTERN -6 - Wildcats need a win to be bowl eligible. Know that going to Hawaii is more a vacation than a game and most team's leave their game at home but Hawaii's D is so god-awful that Cats spread ooffense should have no problem scoring at will. Don't forget, NW has beaten Purdue and Ohiio State. If they are focused, which I think they will, they should roll here.

GL to all and keep the good exchange of info coming. It is invaluable in making your selections.

PS Hope my Irish can pull a stunner tonight vs USC. But don't bet the ranch on it, amigos!

Lousy week at 3 up 4 down
YTD now:
47-41
Recap:
Cuse, Tulsa & Misso win outright and I thought it was going to be a big week!
Then Virginia & Okie State play like crap in the fourth quarter and turn wins into losses.
Then Nevada's QB plays like a deer in headlights and gives Boise 3 defensive TDS, like they need help scoring.
Then to cap off the madness, NW gives Hawaii 500 yards of offense after taking a 13-0 lead? After they beat Purdue & Ohio State? Give me freakin' break!
Oh well that's why they play the game:puke:
PS And my Irish went in the tank again. Three years of 31 point losses to USC. It's time for Ty to resign and let Urban Meyer rejuvenate te program.

I thin you are right. Joe Pa. Don't recall anyone else liking Tulsa last Saturday but uis.
All excited today as ND got off the Ty-tanic. Do hope they bring in Urban Meyer.
Word was early today that Penn State had made an inquiry to him . ND really wants him bad, so I think they moved quickly to cut ties with Ty and line him up.
Did you hear anything about that Joe Pa?
