I cant sleep and I would like to share a story - this goes for most of the new people here and explains the word "LOCK" very well. (I just came from one of those threads)
Well I have been here almost 2 full years now and I remember when I first saw the "Lock"! It was when I first came here and didnt even know what a pointspread was. Well their was one game that came about and it was Californa -3. California was ranked and they were playing an unranked team. I thought wow what a great play and I saw someone had a "LOCK" on it and remember thinking that I had a great winner before the game started.
I remember Adam coming into the thread and trying to get me off the game as soon as possible and a few others along with him, but I stuck to the play and you guessed it - I lost.
Ever since that day I looked down upon these people who would post shit like this and thats because I knew it was not good and people would lose money on the games.
YES its a superstition in a way, but most of the time the fucking "LOCK" is no good and should not be used.
For the new people - Do not post "LOCKS" or do not follow them, just be cool and post your picks.
Well I am going to try and get some sleep, see you guys tommorow.
