IN MY OPINION:

Alabama/Auburn

This year, don't believe the hype. Don't believe Auburn will destroy Alabama. Interesting situation in the state of Alabama right now. Most Bama fans are expecting the worse, losing faith. Most Auburn fans are saying, "yeah, I'm sure it'll be a tough close game," but deep down they're thinking, "man we are going to beat Bama's brains in." Very few Aubs have come out- to others, besides their fellow Aubs- and said "we are going to kill Bama." With the exception of Bo, whom I have tremendous respect for, for his consistent emphasis on Auburn dominating, most Auburn fans are trying to hold their "gitty" attitudes about the game to themselves. I smell an upset brewing. Bama is undoubtedly hurt by injuries and so forth. Auburn is undoubtedly riding high with thoughts of the National Championship. Auburn is very healthy, poised and ready to destroy Bama, but this is the Iron Bowl. Throw the records out. While most Auburn fans are arguing about Auburn's BCS positioning, Bama is quietly preparing. All signs point to Bama losing big. Bama has never beat Auburn in Tuscaloosa, Bama is hurt, Bama is getting screwed by refs, Auburn is too powerful, Bama can't stop Auburn's backs, Auburn's D will dominate, the list goes on. Whatever the outcome, I will assure you that it will be exciting. I never bet on my own team... but it is time. BAMA (ML).

I like it Pip! All I heard for the last month was, that if Auburn could just get past Georgia, that with a little help from the BCS, they would play for the national championship. It is like the Auburn fans have been blinded by their success. Have they never watched the Iron Bowl before. There have been more undefeated teams beat in this game than any other rivalry ever. This game is always close. You can take that to the bank. Bama is a lot better than people think and that's all there is to it. I'm not so bold to predict a victory as Pip, but I definitely have that feeling in my stomach like there might be an upset. This game will be close, though, and you can take that to the bank.

C'mon CM7, bet the wife and the kids too. Not much good having a wife and kids if you got no house or car(LOL)! I think the burn is too strong, it will be closer than some think but I have to believe the burn will be ready and focused, unless bama forces turnovers they will lose to a more well balanced and overall better team.. GL with your picks none the less!!!
