Off to a 2-0 start to the week. Time to keep it rolling with six more! The theme of the week is: "Road Favorites." :yeah:

North Texas -4.5 @ Arkansas St. WIN

Virginia Tech -9.5 vs. Maryland (bought 0.5) WIN

Michigan St. -3 @ Penn St. LOSS

The Spartans can become bowl-eligible with a win this saturday in Happy Valley. Despite the win last week against Indiana, Penn St.'s season comes to an end this weekend. Michigan St. needs this game much more than Penn St. and the Spartan offense is coming off a huge-momentum builder last week with their ass-kicking of Wisconsin. If the Spartans can put up 49 on the Big Ten's finest defense, I see no reason why they cant put up 21 or more against the Nittany Lions. PSU doesnt score more than 20 a game, so I will take my chances on a pumped up MSU squad. Prediction: Michigan St 27 Penn St. 14

Michigan -5@ Ohio St. LOSS

Very simple: Ohio St.'s offense is lame, Ted Ginn will not save the Buckeyes vs. Michigan, and Michigan's stable of WRs will have a field day against the depleted OSU secondary, especially when they will have to honor Hart and his talent out of the backfield. Prediction: Michigan 31 Ohio St. 20

North Carolina -6@ Duke WIN

I am tailing Ace on this one. The fact that UNC can become bowl eligible with this one, they are playing solid ball recently, and already have some big wins under their belts make me comfortable enough to take them against the Dukies and their 116th ranked offense for less than a TD. This is football, not basketball, so there are no Cameron Crazies (yet). Prediction: UNC 28 Duke 16

Tennessee -12.5 @ Vanderbilt LOSS

Another Ace game that I jumped on. Ace provided one of those stats that just jump out at you and make you have a double-take. Vanderbilt has not scored on the Vols in three straight YEARS. Tennessee is not the same dominating team, but they are still dangerous even with their QB situation. They have had two weeks to let the loss to ND eat away at them, and Im sure they are ready to take their frustrations out on the Commodores. Prediction: Tennessee 27 Vanderbilt 7

Northern Illinois -18@ Eastern Michigan PUSH

Tailing JoePa on this one. Northern Illinois shit the bed for me last time out against Toledo, but Ill take them here against an Eastern Michigan defense that is battling Hawaii for the Swiss Cheese Award as of late. They are allowing 56ppg in their last three outings. Northern Illinois has a good offense (16th in the nation) and I can see them continuing the trend and getting back on track for bowl season. Prediction: Northern Illinois 45 Eastern Michigan 21

Louisville -21 @ Houston WIN

I see this game's outcome as being almost identical to the Birds' last outing against TCU. The only difference is that Houston has a good pass defense. However, they are 88th in rushing defense so expect a steady dose of Eric Shelton. Houston has problems putting points on the board, so I think the Louisville defense might get back to its ways before this past two game snooze. Louisville flexes its muscles on offense early, jumps out to a big lead, then allows some scores in garbage time. Prediction: Louisville 48 Houston 24

ADDED:

OREGON ST-3.5 vs. Oregon WIN
UTEP -21.5 vs. SMU WIN

And a small parlay and small teaser for fun. Maybe I'll get lucky...

6 pt teaser (5 teams) (pays 4.5 to 1)

Alabama +16 vs. Auburn
Indiana +26 @ Purdue
North Texas +1.5 @ Arkansas St.
Baylor +40.5 vs Oklahoma
Wisconsin +9 @ Iowa

6 team parlay (pays 30 to 1)
Michigan St. -2.5 @ Penn St.
Baylor +35.5 vs. Oklahoma
Cincinnati -9.5 vs. S. Florida
Southern Miss -1 @ TCU
UAB -9.5 @ Army
Wisconsin +3.5 @ Iowa

Best of luck to everyone this weekend. Kick the man in his beanbag and take his cash. Oh yeah, dont forget to throw in a couple :booz:

Might as well make it a seven pack for good luck. Of course, Im going to stay with my theme of road favorites.

Final Play:

Memphis -15.5 @ East Carolina LOSS

The more I look at it, the more I like this game. ECU is 2-7 and has kept games close against mediocre teams. However, when they have played the top teams on their schedule, they have been embarassed. West Virginia, Louisville, and Southern Miss all put up 50 points on the Pirates and they lost each game by 30 or more. South Florida laid an ass whipping on them last week, 41-17. ECU has the 100th ranked offense as opposed to Memphis who sports the 9th best offense in the country. Memphis should score plenty of points. They'll probably allow some points, but they need this game if they want to go bowling so I think they let it all hang out against ECU, who simply want the agony to end.
Prediction: Memphis 52 ECU 24

Baylor I think is the best pick here, they've covered for me every time I've bet on them. I also like the Mich St., Tenn, N.C., & Wisconsin games.

Finished the week 6-4-1 and managed to sneak in a little extra $ on the second half over of the Auburn-Bama game. Michigan, Michigan St., and Tennessee hurt bad. Oh well, could be alot worse!

BTW, what the hell was up with the end of the NIU-Eastern Michigan game? I see on ESPN there is 5 seconds left in the game, NIU has a 21 point lead 34-13, so I think im goldenwith the -18 I had on NIU......next thing I know, its 34-16 and the games over: a push. I want to know who the fuck kicks a field goal as time expires when you are already losing by 21 in the last game of the season? Bull shit.
