Week 13 NCAAF *Football picks

Little late in starting the thread but I have been swamped at work...
Thursday night plays:

North Texas has rolled in the SBC and already clinched. They have won 24 straight game against conference foes and have bested Ark St the last 3 games . They have a record setting running back who may or may not play tonnight but in general I think they outclass the boys from Arky by a t.d.
Also liking the under as weather may affect part of the game due to a wet slippery field.

In the other game I flipped a coin to determine who I shoould play and it landed on it's side *LOL*

N. Texas has the SBC locked up and headed for the New Orleans Bowl !!! Not much motivatin for them to play tonight especially with the stud running back not playing. Ark St is not going anywhere and this is their bowl game with triple revenge. I like the Indians as a Home Underdog as they are 9-1 in their last 10 games as a HD. Not many people remember what happened last year and I was one of them with my NO REMEMBERING SELF!!!

Here is a quote from Indians strong safety Alex Peoples:

“There are a lot of things that happened last year that I haven’t forgotten,” ASU senior strong safety Alex Peoples said. “I’m sure a lot of players on the team haven’t forgotten either. They showed absolutely no class. It was very disrespectful. They showed no character at all, so we’re looking forward to playing them. I think it will motivate the team a little bit knowing how those guys acted last year.”

That is an interesting statment QN...I have never been one that looks storongly at the NCAAF revenge factor but it sure sounds like it's in play tonight!
I'm at work so I dont knwo (and dont think) the game's on tv tonight but I hope it is!

Okay...One of the funnest weekends of the year..Rivalry weekend..Hope I say the same at the end of the day...:bbang:

FG Purdue -20 3 units
Purdue rebounds to close the season strong after the disappointing mid season slump and gets set for a bowl berth. Indiana looks forward to next year...

Baylor +36 2 units
I Live in and love Oklahoma but they are something like 3-7 ATS this year..Baylor has put up a few points more than usual and should cover or at least, backdoor cover. Stoops won't run it up as they look to get Peterson healthy for the Big 12 title game.

Northwestern -12 2 units
N'Western has bowl aspirations this year..Illiniois doesnt. NW 5-1 ATS last 6 vs the Frightening Illini who is 0-3 ATS on the road this year and has little to play for but pride. IMO game should be a 15 pt spread.


North Carolina -6.5 2 units
Another team playing for a bowl game against a team that is playing for next year..NC 6-2 ATS last 8 vs Duke. NC has traditiionally whipped up on Duke with the exception of the past 2 years..NC 8-2 ATS as a road fav last 10. Close number but taking the fav in this one.

Iowa St +11 1 unit
Should keep it close if they don't maybe win outright...K State always tough at home but the Cyclones are postiioned to win the WEAK Big 12 North this year...K State 5-1 ATS last 6 vs IAST but it's a gut feeling I am going on as I feel Iowa St rises to the occasion..

Clemson -3 1 unit
Clemson has covered the last 3 agasint SC and with the distractions caused by the Holtz/Spurrier issue as well as a road game against a team that is playing to be bowl eligible I think Cleamson gets it done

GGA Tech +5.5 1 unit
GGA Tech is 4-0 ATS and SU vs Vga the last 4 at home. For the most part..the home team likes to cover in this series...Vga 1-2 ATS on the road this season...Wouldnt be surprised to see GGA Tech win outright..

This is the value of ACCURATE information!

I was out golfing yesterday listening to ESPN game day radio in between shot..Some of the boys there were talking about the BYU/Utah game, specifically the weather. This one guy mentioned several times about the snow coming down. I take weather into consideration when capping a game, especially rain and snow. So anyway. After about the 5th time this guy mentions snow, I get images of a game that will be played in falling snow with a field that is slick and slippery. The O/U is 58.5 and thats alot of points on a field that has succumbed to the weather. I call in my action right then and there bofore there is a downturn in the line movement. Low and behold..I flip the TV on for a quick look before the wife and I go out to dinner and there isn't ONE single snowflake to be found! All in all,,,It cost me 7 units of action.

In short..Especially if you are a newbie just getting into capping. ALWAYS check your facts and verify them. Word of mouth doesnt put $$$ in your account! Also watch out for announcers that think they are weathermen..This guy must be from Miami or something and started freaking out when a few light flakes fell...
