Another winning night last night!

Last night: 2-1 This Week: 10-6 YTD: 24-10

New York Knicks -2 1/2

New York is coming off their first win of the season. It came at home against the Sixers.

LA Clippers are coming off a dismantling off of the depleted Indiana Pacers.

LA Clippers have lost 7 of the last 8 at New York and the Knicks need another home win to get to the .500 mark on the season.

The Knicks have a tough first 10 game schedule, so this win is a big one.

I think they come out motivated and LA will not duplicate their Indiana performance.

New York wins by 6-13

Los Angeles Lakers +3 1/2

It seems safe to take the Lakers at least every other night. Orlando did paste a very tired Mavericks team, but I have yet to be impressed by this team.

Kobe is coming off a terrible shooting night in Memphis and he will rebound tonight.

I think the Lakers will be 50/50 all season and will find a way to pull off an SU win tonight.

Lakers win by 1-7

Golden State Warriors +10 (1/2 point buy)

Golden State is still winless. Memphis finally posted their first win. I have to believe that this game will at least be close.

Double-digit underdogs haven't been too bad so far this season.

Last season, the two matchups in Memphis were decided by an average of 6 points and in all 5 meetings last season between the 2 teams, there was never a decision greater than 10 points.

Knowing this, I'll take the DD.

Memphis wins by 1-6

Boston Celtics -9 1/2

I'm going back to Boston. They burned me with a late game collapse against the Blazers and then, instead of OT where they could cover the 3 1/2, Paul Pierce hits a buzzer beater to sink me.

I think that instead of the collapse, they hold on against an expansion team that has played pretty well thus far.

I'm going on the fact that Boston STILL hasn't covered a game at home and there's no better opportunity than tonight.

I think Pierce goes off and the rest of the cast plays solid.

Boston wins by 12-20

I may have more later (waiting for some lines)....

BOL on whatever you play!!

Ace.. you going on a "gut" feeling on the Knicks tonight? To me, the Clips will always be the Clips. They've been at the bottom of the West for so long. However, they have beaten 2 teams this year (already) by 30+ points. That's hard to ingore. What are you seeing that I don't see?

Thanks man.

Clips are undervalued by the average joe. However, this could very well be a letdown for 'em.

That was in the back of my mind. But the Knicks just didn't look good to me the other night, and that was with them winning. They did lose the game in Portland after the blowout of Seattle. Gotta think about this one.

GoldenROD, I agree, which is why I don't like either side of this game. Don't want to highjack this guy's post, just wanted to help with some reasoning.

Clippers do not perform well in NY. 7 of last 8 are losers and in the 2 meetings last season there wasn't a game closer than 6 points.

Knicks need this win bad. They have a very tough schedule and they need to beat teams like this. Plus, I like what I saw in their last outing.

A very solid game from start to finish. The Clippers beat an Indiana team that was missing O'Neal and Artest. They should beat that team.

And this is my opinion.....betting the NBA has an element of "gut feel" to it every night.

Besides just numbers, you have to look at how the team has been performing lately, back-to-back, 3 in 4 nights, stuff like that.
And of course, what the point spread is.

I take all of this into consideration before I make a pick.

I'm not right all the time, but thus far, it seems to be working OK. (71%)

GL to you!

Thor,

You run that risk jumping on games early. Some times it helps, some times it doesn't.

Last night, it helped. Got the T'Wolves at 2 1/2 and by game time it was 4 1/2. Really would have had to sweat it out.

Only time will tell...

Adding....

Toronto/Seattle Under 204 1/2

Overs on games that have been 200 or more have not done very well.

Both of these teams' total game scores are averaging 195.5

I believe that tonight you will see a decent pace and might average 48 points per quarter.

That gives me a final of 192. Something like 100-92.

Don't have any idea who wins the game.

Adding one last one.....

Indiana Pacers PK

Indiana is 3-0 on the road ATS this season. Philadelphia is 0-2 ATS at home this season.

Indiana won both meetings last season in Philly. They also get Artest back in the mix and are looking to respond after the thrashing at home by the Clippers.

Indiana wins by 4-12
