First post for me. Saw this site a couple days ago and gather from the threads that this is a good bunch of people. Going to start slow with only a couple of picks.
Louisville (-13.5)
Vanderbilt (+12.5)
Alabama (-17.5)
Louisville definitely has it together this season. They are ready to get a little payback for last year against Memphis and have looked forward to this game for a year. Memphis, on the other hand, hasn't impressed me much this season. Gotta go with the eye of tiger (aka, cards) here.
Florida is in the middle of a meltdown. They were severely shaken by the MSU game (more on that later) and are still trying to deal with the demise of Zook. I don't see them wasting the "Win one for the gipper" on an away game. This is a prime opportunity for Vandy. Granted, they haven't won many games, but Vandy is tenacious and they NEVER give up. Factor in the home team advantage and they might even get a win this weekend.
Mississippi State is horrible. Even Croom has been quoted saying he doesn't have any real talent on the team and needs a couple of years to build a competitive team. The Florida game is pretty much a mystery. However, a conversation with a Dawgs fan on the inside revealed that a rousing speech was given before the game that apparently inspired the Dawgs to perform beyond expectations. Even Croom commented that it was the best inspirational speech he had ever heard. Strong stuff. Last week's win over Kentucky looks a lot stronger on paper than it actually was. Both teams were horrible on the field (more like high school than college football). Alabama has had an extra week to prepare for the carnage (and at home to boot) and it shouldn't take more than a quarter to tear down the false sense of security MSU has built up over the past two games. Roll Tide Roll.
