Harmons Forcast Week 9
Week 8 Results 4-22-2 (YES THAT IS RIGHT)
Sides 2-10-2
Totals 2-12

YTD Week 2 thru 8
42-53-12 sides
44-63-3 totals

Week 9 - Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004
*Baltimore 21 Cleveland 14 - Browns QB Jeff Garcia threw for a score and ran for one in Cleveland's 20-3 victory over the Ravens on Opening Day. Since then Baltimore's running game -- though not much else -- has improved dramatically.
*Carolina 13 Oakland 10 - Neither of these offenses may do much here, since they're both best through the air, while both defenses are at their best against the pass. They've met twice, most recently in 2000, and each has won big.
Dallas 26 *Cincinnati 18 - The only thing that can keep the Bengals close is their secondary, but why would the Cowboys throw when they can open big holes in the league's weakest defensive line? Dallas beat Cincy last, four years ago.
*Denver 29 Houston 16 - Against teams with slacker defenses, the pass-dependent Texans have looked good, but they may get beaten up by the Broncos -- a club they've never faced -- who will shut them down while running all over them.
*Detroit 19 Washington 13 - Who knows how the Lions will play from week to week? Their offense, which finally came to life two weeks ago against the Giants, could be stifled by the Redskins, whom they last met -- and defeated -- in '00.
Kansas City 20 *Tampa Bay 12 - Not as easy a pick as it appears, hinging on whether the Buccaneers can keep the now red-hot Chiefs' backfield in check, and whether T.B. has benefited from a bye week. They haven't butted heads since '99.
*Miami 14 Arizona 13 - The Dolphins will need some help from their Bengals-like defensive line to stop the Cardinals, and whether Miami can score is yet another question. The Dolphins are 8 for 8 against Arizona/Phoenix/St. Louis.
New England 22 *St. Louis 18 - Though they can exploit the Patriots' defensive weaknesses -- especially through the air -- the Rams are giving up way too many yards to pull off an upset. Their last meeting was N.E.'s Super Bowl win in '02.
*N.Y. Giants 30 Chicago 14 - If they hope to keep up with the Eagles, the Giants' defense needs to step up and knock down teams like the Bears while the offense is running them ragged. N.Y. was the series' last winner, four years ago.
N.Y. Jets 18 *Buffalo 13 - The Jets overcame the Bills' late charge four weeks ago to edge them 16-14 on Doug Brien's last-minute field goal. In another defensive battle, N.Y. should sweep Buffalo for the second time in three years.
Philadelphia 24 *Pittsburgh 22 - An impossible pick: The Eagles' third straight AFC North opponent (after the Browns and Ravens) is obviously the best. Philly needed OT to beat the Steelers in '00, and they're just as evenly matched this time.
*San Diego 29 New Orleans 19 - At home, against a defense that stops nothing, the up-and-down Chargers will get past the down-and-up Saints, though they'll give up lots of passing yards. N.O. beat S.D. the last time they met, four years ago.
Seattle 23 *San Francisco 16 - In Week Three, when the Seahawks were looking Super, they dealt the 49ers their first shutout in 456 games, 34-0. Seattle fell flat after that, and its fourth straight series win will be much more interesting.
week 9 - Monday, Nov. 8, 2004
Minnesota 32 *Indianapolis 28 - Impossible pick No. 2: Yeah, the Vikings measure their air game in acres, not yards, and the Colts are helpless against the pass, but we can't shake the feeling that anybody can beat Minnesota at any time.
Bye Week - Atlanta, Green Bay, Jacksonville, Tennessee. * - Home Team

Billy, I think Den is the only road team with a bye next week. Not at home so don't have my papers with me.

GL

PS, I might have read that trend wrong.OH WELL LOL

yomonte
11-04-2004, 10:31 AM
Rut Row, I was wrong. Me being wrong is not a news flash LOL

I got Oak as the only road team that has a bye wk 10. Other trends that support Oak to cover and one actually to win SU

Although the line is 7 on Oak/Car, opening lines at *** that are 6.5, the Dog has always covered. Opening lines reflect best what the books really feel the line should be before money changes hands. I do not use the ESPN or MNF games in any of my formulas LOL.

Oak +7

Any team that lost by 20 + the week before and is an away dog the next week has won SU .

Oak ML

And of course the road team with a bye the next week has a great track record.

Oak +7

Two other teams that lost by 20 + and are away dogs are Ariz and Min. There has only been one in weeks that this has happened and I don't feel all three will win SU. I do feel one will and that is Oak and/or Min. I'm thinking of taking all three just to be safe in case two hit this. Oak ML and side I have already posted.

Hey Billy,

Really good stuff, bro. I know many of us appreciate it.
I believe I got this from you or yomonte, The East/West Coast trend.
So far it looks like a good fade.
I disagree with the first game since I'll more than likely be takng the Az ML ,but I do like the Panthers to cover against the Raiders.
Any info or thoughts on this weeks plays? Is this a new trend?
Thanks and gl today.

Damn Billy, I thought this was your personal info thread. Now that you ask, I got a couple of things. Mind you these are opening lines and ESPN and MNF are left out.

Lines of 10+ are 4-1-1 for the dog
9.5 is split
9 is 3-1 for the fav
7.5 is3-1 for the dog
7 is 6-2 for the dog
6.5 is 5-0 for the dog
4 is 7-0 for the fav

6.5 to 7.5 is 14-3 for the dog. Oak opened at 6.5 which is 5-0 for the dog

Oak +7

Teams that went into OT the game before are 6-3. Atleast one team has covered in their next game. In week five 6 teams were playing after an OT game and went 5-1 for the cover. The dog in this situation has always covered. Last OT game was Philly and Clev. Philly did not cover.

Clev +6

Thanks for taking the time to read and answer my post.

This total looks crazy under. Setting it at 58 I really think this game goes over. I know public loves overs and everyone is fading the public but public got killed yesterday and the way things are looking money is coming in on the under. Now everyone is saying public was on Baltimore and the over. So a good rule of thumb is to fade them on MONDAY! So take Minn and the under. I just don't know. I could see Indy winning this one bye 10. 35 to 24 Indy and the over. I don't know need to due some more research. Books want you to take Minnesota and the 7.5. And that hook is getting alot of peoples attention......

HMMM What to do What to do. Not to mention I'm on tilt from last night game!!!!
