Just getting back to the site after a long layoff. So glad it is finally opening night.

Houston/Detroit under 167' 1 Unit

Both teams play solid D and combining the new combination of players in Houston with the return of the important Detroit players should lead to a strong defensive effort by Detroit. Houston will also focus on D and both teams will practice patience on offense even with TMac in Houston.

Sacramento +5.5 @ Dallas 1 Unit

Dallas is clearly the public play and the effect of losing Nash is vastly underrated. He was the glue to their offense. Sacramento returns their important players (Miller, Bibby, Webber, Peja) and regardless of whether they are happy or not the cohesiveness should at the very least keep this close throughout if not pull out the W as I expect.

Denver @ LA Lakers -2' 1 Unit

The Lakers are a public team but I clearly see a huge contingent backing Denver in this game. Denver may have the frontcourt advantage but how do they guard Kobe and Odom. Both are too long and athletic and although they typically shoot low percentages they should have better looks tonight due to the athleticism. Kobe gets to the line 15-20 times in a Jordanesque performance while leading the Lakers to a double digit win in Shaq's absence. The Lakers have more talent than any other time when Shaq left the team due to injury. Denver also may have the horses but who is scoring their points?
